Re: Portable fridge
Thanks Terry but agree with you don't like 3 way, when I googled Bushman a 3way version popped up, so I thought perhaps they were all 3 way.

Re: Portable fridge
We got a 35l waeco as an extra fridge orfreezer, has done well for us for the last 2 years. We also have a 65l vitrifigo about 5 yrs old. Was too big for what we wanted it for, though it was Ok. Lid was a pita, as it was weakly designed. Going to give that to a friend.

Re: Portable fridge
I like the bushman. Although with the high lid and extension collar on it struggles to freeze food in the very top. It is not an issue for us as I generally place the vac sealed meat there as it will keep for weeks like that. The other option is to rotate the top food lower.
The unit is a 12/24 and 240v. It also has a toggle switch inside the control panel. In the event that the control board fails you can flick the toggle switch which puts the unit into continually running, you then control the temp by turning the power on and off. Handy if you are away from civilisation. Also if this does happen you can change the control panel yourself when the new one arrives. A few screws and a small plug and you’re done.

Re: Portable fridge
In the bus we also have a 35l waeco which works well, but doesn't handle low voltages or thin wiring at all. We also have a cheap chinese 60lt chest fridge freezer called a metax I think, had it for about 8 years and it's still working well. Was told not to by a cheap one as they don't last, but it''s lasted well.
