Re: For the electrical experts
Do you have a thermometer that reads the inside temp of the freezer? Try turning it off, unplugging, then plug it back in and turn it back on, sort of a shut down reboot, sometimes the defrost thermostat sticks on and it one of those things that toggles between the comprssor running or the defrost heater element. The timer relay sticks closed and each compressor cyle becomes a heating cycle instead. The give away is a rapid temp rise in the freezer section. If you can locate the timer relay, a short, sharp shock will generally get it back on track. Our 500ltr Fisher & Paykel has a boot print in the middle of the freezer door after it defrosted every thing three weeks in a row, hasn't mucked up in the 18mthsDot wrote:OK my freezer has chucked in the towel, just stopped working and yes it was turned on and plugged in ??

Don't every body get all up tight here, I'm gunna try the split thread thing and see if I can split Dottie's freezer problem off Russell's weight problem with cold beer
Lucky it's inthe laughs section, if I stuff it up you can all get a giggle out of it.

Re: Dottie's dead freezer
Well the freezer is as dead as dead can be, plugged it in and switched the power on, gave it a kick in the guts but nothing happened so that's that.
