Well as of 12PM Friday 29th Jan we are on the road to being homeless.
Cooling off period has expired with no drama.
8 weeks till settlement. Thought it might be hot so made it a long contract period. They were in no rush.
Now the big clean out begins........... Any room in your workshop T1? lol

Bruce,

We have found Gumtree to be the best as it is localised but I don't know if it covers your area. Julie has sold many things using Gumtree, doors, windows, carpet, school uniforms etc. All cash on pickup.

No idea to be honest :( But hoping to be over there in a week or so, with a truck if things go well on Monday in Melbourne (well the outskirts anyway) Yet another weird state's rego requirements to negotiate, to transfer rego apparently you need an RWC as well as proof of residency, 100 points of ID...... and money of course  Yet I can just give them money and my word by ticking a box within an online form and I can drive it back home or where ever I nominate and all will be fine :? When I get to SA, there are more hoops, because it is 300kg over the 4.5 tonne cut off I need to book a full vehicle inspection, pass that, then give them money. So far the only common thread appears to be the giving them money part, yet I need a national drivers licence to drive the thing. lucky we live in a country without boarders eh

Governments of all persuasions will just keep putting the hand deeper and deeper into your pocket simply because they will not stop spending,

So, is this a new vehicle to add to the stable ?

We have so much more yard now I can add to the fleet  This one is for T1 Lithium work, I'll modify it to drag 20 ft containers on and off as well as be able to pick up smaller vehicles if we need. The container idea is for building fully contained off grid power units that the solar mounts to the roof and has all the electronics inside. The idea is that a cable plugs between the container and the house or workshop to supply power where the grid is just too expensive to connect. The way it's going that will include every house in Aust soon  We are getting the truck now so we can pack all that's left into a container and take it to Mannum. The difference between the container hire and transport offered by a few companies and the cost of buying our own container and truck and carting it ourselves is almost half way to the purchase price of the truck.
Now, when we hire out the truck and container for Bruce's move we should have nearly paid for the truck 8-) how was that for bringing it back on topic

I wonder if I've got the job of emptying it before I get to hire it? lol
Minds think alike.... I was looking at horse trucks. Most of them have few miles on them & some are halfway converted to live up the front.
Hope it's not an old Commer Knocker? haha

Everyone is knocker of the old Commer  As I've already turned 60 it couldn't be a 1418 Benz either cause I don't have long enough left to get to SA :P What other iconic marvel of modern machinery could be but a Ford with the big 6.2ltr straight 6..... let's hope for a tail wind going across the Hay plains or I could end up back in Lake Illawarra

I drove a 1418 Benz through the Burnley Tunnel quite some years ago. Those who know the tunnel know it as steep down (so the 4 speed cameras can get you) and steep up to make it hard for 1418 Benz's. The traffic is still lined up trying to get out!
