Have never though of using kettle while on power instead of carting electric jug but my electric plate is slower than the turtle ever was.
Have a double electric plate to cook outside with in on power, only 2 size frypans for stove, toaster when in power and this time I have my Baby Q. Yippee. Have still to christen it- probably this weekend.
The choofer is going with us this time. B. has been busy chopping up timber to take with us- all my tomato stakes as they burn for a long time being hardwood.

And I just received my wind break from Southern Metal Spinners for cooking outside on a windy day.

A wind break, Kay? Must say the darn thing is heavy but I guess that is the idea - that it doesn't blow over in the wind.
I would have thought it would have been a Bruce project.

He probably would have something to use- if this elcheapo is no good then will ask him- spoke to Chuck this evening but could not convince B.about the gas bottle either. Off to Bris 6am until Thursday lunch.

I know that you are talking about the LC & not you Lesley
Bruce has lots of running around to do to-morrow after he comes back from taking me to Bris. Has to go to Morayfield to see about the new tyres, book Nissan in for service, etc stc.

Don't think anyone would mistake me for a pussycat, Kay but yes, I was talking about the LC.

Dot, you have enough space in that mobile mansion to carry an entire kitchen if you so desire!
For our little caravan, we have a small old electric frying pan, electric jug, toaster and a sandwich maker (that can do all the things a jaffle iron does but without the need for a fire).
We do have a microwave that gets a burl once in a while, the full oven and hotplates have only been used once (for the grandkids, not for us), I often use caravan park camp kitchens if I want to do a big cook up, but I do love to stop in at country pubs, have a big lunch and a crumpet for dinner.
So you can see, it just depends on what food you want to prepare and how often you think you really need to cook.
Keep having fun planning for the trip of a lifetime.
