yes its in camps 5 as cibram regional patk number 304 however looking at facilities I don't think Im at scotts beach lol. as it says it has a toilet block and here doesn't. so I came in the first entrance I found.
very bushy and I did a full loop before deciding on a spot as its pretty full. largervehicles than mine I wouldn't suggest here.
not much of a beach but the sand is firm under foot and water is lovely. churned up from boats but very cool and refreshing.
the book mentions two spots, we are not at either lol. might get madie up and check out the other spots. think they are down the road further where it turns to dirt.
this ones turn off is still on bitumin and close to expencive homes lol. free camping in the rich side of town. will go explore more and report back.

well i have some catching up to do huh.

i checked out some of the other tracks at cobram. all pretty much of a muchness. nice spots, perfect for bush camping - dont think i ever found scotts beach though lol.

headed off in search of nini and wayne and on the way found the big strawberry so of course we had to stop.

got over the border to tocumwal about lunch time and booked into one of the parks there as i had a ton of washing and madie was wanting a swim. so it wasnt till afternoon tea time that we walked over to meet some new friends. wayne met us at the door and nini wasnt far behind. what a wonderful couple with so many stories to tell. nini gave me a book to read which kept me in stitches the following night.

wayne insisted we stay for dinner and afterwards tok us all for a drive round town and showing us how to find the local river side camp grounds for next time we visit before dropping us back home for bed. next morning before we left town we dropped in again for a cuppa and goodbyes.

we got to just north of west wylong yesterday afternoon and found a great free camp 30kms north. its on the southbound side and if you go to the picnic area away from the truck area you will see a dirt track - we were down there all private like but still close enough to the trucks and traffic just incase of emergency.

today we got to dubbo after a bit of a late start and a visit to forbes info center to see ben hall movie again and then into parkes for groceries and then to the dish - how can we go on the newall and not see that lol. lunch with my good friend roz from facebook. we checked out on google a campsite near the zoo but once i actually got there i found ribbish and broken bottles and remnamts of camp fires in random places. decided it looked dodgy and went straight to midstate cp where i am tucked up safe and sound.

well off to the zoo tomorrow so wont be round much again. see ya soon.

and yes dottie i gave nini and wayne a hug from you too.
