"tanks" here---UPDATE----
Good morning all,
CGU made an offer of $6,000 plus $2,000 solicitor fees last week. My solicitor does nor recommend that I accept their offer as this is way below the amount of my claim.

CGU expert now states that the " sensors" are what caused the engine damage. They have tried dirty fuel, and the ECU and now claim to have done a computer diagnostic check which I dispute.

My solicitor and myself are meeting with my expert on Friday 6th Jan for a briefing on the technical aspect of the CGU evidence
to make sure that we are prepared for the Registrar hearing on 9th January.

If CGU do not make an acceptable offer to me at the Pretrial Conference on 9th January the matter will go before the Magistrate Court at some future date.

We have included interest at 6% which is the amount the WA Magistrates Court will accept.

Keith.

I'm now 85 years of age and living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no address, no money, no worries.

Good to hear you have managed to get a 6% interest fee attached to the claim, it will now make dragging it out an expensive exercise to loose on their part so delaying tactics using silly bogus counter claims should start to reduce. Sadly they are forced to make an offer by law, but not forced to make realistic offer, so the stupid offer is just them ticking a box.
