Another progress story

Post by Mrbolly »

Good evening folks,
I thought it was time for another update on progress to date. The stage I am at, at the moment, is really the most frustrating time of all. I compare it to building a house, you see lots of progress and appear to be going great guns until you reach lock-up stage, then you work your backside off doing the fit and finish, yet come and ask what you have been doing because they don't see the detail.
Well I have been doing the detail and have reached the point where I am ready to start fitting the wall and ceiling panels. I (hope) I've finished all the the cable stuff and have done the wall and ceiling insulation.

I now await the delivery of wall and ceiling materials. In the meantime, there is always plenty to be done.

Cheers, Alan

Won't be long now Alan!
Going to need an extra hand to get the ceiling up I reckon!
You can put up bigger photos too to show detail better. Try 999 pixels on the longest side.

Do you have a floor plan you can show us? What type of loo are you putting in?

Yes Bruce, I have acquired some load bars with a jacking mechanism at one end and a rubber rubber feed, like mini acrow props to hold panels in place while the adhesive sets. But yes an extra set of hands will be necessary. Whichever is the case, it promises to be a slow progress doing a panel at a time.

I'll try the 999 pixels thing next.

Cheers, Alan

Yes, the layout is pretty standard, the bed at the back with the bed head against the rear wall. Shower toilet room on the right hand side with a side aisle on the passenger's side. Kitchen on the right with the fridge on the left on one side of the entry steps. I do have a plan, I'll get it scanned so I can put it up in my next post.
The loo is a vacuum toilet, I have mounted the black water tank and the vacuum generator where the se one spare wheel was on the driver's side. I took the trouble to mount the vacuum generator on rubber insulators, so hopefully I won't get any noise from it if it kicks in during the night?

Cheers. Alan

Yes Bruce, people come To see what I am doing to the bus and look through the screen and see the crankshaft on the wall, invariably it becomes a topic of discussion, BTW, it is a V12 jag shaft that my grand kids will be able to sell at some stage in the future?

Make sure your panels are removable, I will guarantee you have NOT covered everything, only what you have thought of so far
