It was SO hot here today. Clear and hot. Cloudy and hot. Just hot. Especially out in the scrub changing a grader tyre.
I put in new lettuce and tomato seedlings yesterday (morning sun, afternoon shade position) and the lettuces are just flat, dried leaves lying on the dirt. I broke my own cardinal rule for gardening up here....get your shade up first, then plant.

One of the reasons I do not grow our food, we would starve if I had to grow our own
"tanks" here Dottie,
AS LONG AS YOU HAVE WEIS BARS, Scones with cream and jam, and fruit cake-- YOU ARE OK

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
They must be growing special herbs Bruce, I wouldn't have thought that there was enough room on a houseboat to do that.
Weather wise we have had about 90mm of rain since yesterday. The grass is growing and the birds are singing. It must be spring time.
Cheers

Not over hot here the last couple of days, new air cons installed yesterday (thanks Boss!) one right over the kitchen sink which is fantastic because now my sweat won’t be dripping into the dishwater.
