Re: Where we're gonna be...
That's what our neighbour says... calls our yard the "Rutherglen Cemetery"!
His 3/4 acre yard is covered in fruit trees (32) & veggie gardens. He is almost totally self-sufficient.

Re: Where we're gonna be...
Arrived in Bundaberg yesterday.
Big town!! (~70,000+)
Not used to so much traffic since we fled Melbourne...
At home, if I have to wait for three cars to pass before exiting our driveway, it's rush-hour!
Here, it took eight minutes to finally get to the traffic lights & cross an intersection!
Yet to visit the town's raison d'etre: The Bundy Distillery.
Spent the arvo unpacking, as we're here for a week. Cabin is marvellous! Clean & new, plenty of space, well-equipped kitchen, right on the beachfront, big balcony to sit & relax. Had brekky there this morning, then fed the assembled birdlife some crumbs. Methinks they're used to receiving gifts from visitors. One of the cheeky Butcherbirds sat on the verandah rail waiting. I suspect he might even be amenable to hand-feeding. Will try it tomorrow, if the current wind dies down. Went for a sunset stroll along the beach last evening. Sea calm as a millpond, beautiful sunset. Wind sprung up after lunch today, so we abandoned the beach walk after 50m.

We lived on the Esplanade at Bargara in 1973, just south of the CP, small country area back in those days.

Shirley,
We're planning to visit Bargara while here.
Told they have a Woolworths there now!
We've even seen TV ads for an "Over-50s Lifestyle Village" there.

Re: Where we're gonna be...
Ray, If you haven't been to Bundy for a while, then you will notice that it has changed a bit! Plenty to see and do. If you don't use your tasters on the Bundy Rum tour, can I have them?

Cheers

Re: Where we're gonna be...
Bernie,
We would rather have Girt here... but she's occupied elsewhere at the moment.
Holiday was booked, house-sitters organised, garden prepped for our absence... so we decided, "Bugger it! We're going anyway!" Just switched from powered sites to cabins en route & here.
Supercar's 18.9km/litre
David,
NO!

Ray,
One thing you must do, is go to "Grunsky's" sea food cafe, you will get the best and freshest sea food ever.
