Not to many couples can say that both their grandparents came out on the same boat and I suppose on the same voyage.
Mine landed in Pt Adelaide on Xmas day 1853 with their family of 3 and added to it after they landed.
The family has lived in SA every since except for a couple of us that have wandered. My family walked to Stone Hut and worked an outstation surrounded by B***KS as said in the family bible / history book and then worked the properties ouround the area and then relocated back to Clare area.
Now spread right across SA and some of the Irish mob have now emegrated in the last few years so they are the ring ins. Every one with my family name comes from the one farm in Ireland. And that is Australia, NZ and America all left Ireland during the potato famine.
