Re: Mobile phone signal repeater/booster
I thought about the yagi type aerial but the signal strength outside is fine, just inside I had the problem. I also thought the magnetic aerial would be easier to install as it doen't need a mast to attach to

But most already have an aerial hanging off the roof ready to just clamp the thing too - easy. Unless you one wanted to take it on the road and were prepared to mains power it.Wilbor wrote:... it doen't need a mast to attach to
Thinking of my daughter who is on the fringe with any providers signal.

Experience is a wonderful thing. It helps you recognise a mistake when repeated.

In a fringe area the yagi would be much better

Off subject slightly, but still relevant, I have a Big Pond wireless modem (Wi FI 4G) connected to Telstra branded external antenna, I also have an iPhone 5 for which there is no external aerial attachment. The other night out of Katherine, the phone shows intermittent one bar and I have realistically now service yet I have 2 bars plus (flicking to 3) on the modem I can send and receive emails yet cannot get phone coverage!
