Sound like a good idea had not thought of splitting them up so put 100 on high beam sixty or seventy on low beam ok we try that ok

Keep the low beam as low watts as you can, it stops the high beam flash from the approaching traffic problem, really hard on tired eyes, also works better in fog.

Sounds like your lights are the same as I have on the Nissan Civilian Nini?
In my case the previous person disconnected the inside high beam altogether & connected it to two (or 4?!) spotlights mounted on the bulbar. They only come on of course on high beam.
