Considering there are already a couple of gatherings over the Easter/April period - Chiltern & Crystal Brook - I'm thinking around the 3rd weekend in May.

Link to the location: http://www.caravanontour.com/free-camps ... -area.html

The area can hold around 50 vans/RV's - including big rigs - temps should be pleasant, generators are permitted & campfires also... although wood gathering would be required.

If you're feeling energetic a walking track goes around the lake.

If it's still warm on arrival a good point to remember would be that as you drive in you are virtually heading N, so the sun comes up on your right & goes down over the lake on your left, so take that into consideration if you're thinking of your solar panels, or looking for a bit of afternoon shade as you choose your camp site.

If you're thinking of joining us let us know what dates would suit you.

So far the possible attendees are:

1. Chuck & Catriana (Chuck) ... 13 - 19th May for us.
2. Terry & Margaret (T1 Terry)
3. David & Terrie (Supersparky)
4. PeterH (Pet-Els)
5. Dot & George (Dot)
6. Helen & Paul (Helen the boring one)
7. Wayne & Nini (Mrcoolabah1AU)
8. Ros & Ivan (Ros20549)
9. Chris & Glennis (Keevo52)
10 Ray & Joy (Greynomad)
11 Ash & Wendy (Weezanickinoff)
12 Darryl & Annette (Mrmac1)
13 Col & Jenny (Col49)
14 Bob & Lyn (bobk)
15 Norman & Ewe - aka Christine (Norman)

Reluctantly withdrawn.

Martin & Caroline (Dapope) (Withdrawn - traveling o/s.)
Jamie & Glori (Jamglor) (Withdrawn - changed circumstances.)
Kay & Bruce (Macca) (Withdrawn - previous commitment)
Keith & Russel (Tanks) (Withdrawn - impending eye surgery.)
Bob & Robin (bob r) Withdrawn - too cold, heading north.)
William & May (Busman) (Withdrawn - problem with part not arriving for Suzuki.)

You pick the date and let the chips fall where they may Chuck. Good idea to have before Easter as you said those coming from Nth will go there on their way to the other do's.

2nd week end in May onwards would be fine for us, Margaret will just need to wangle some extra leave  The nth facing aspect is also important for those with roof top solar.

I wonder when JD is having his get together. I think I heard BernieQ was going to be traveling down that way about that time.

JD usually has the first w/end in May, so the second W/end might work out for most folk. Pencil us in and we will see how we go.
