Another rap for Caravans Plus, good to deal with very good service and they will ask the necessary questions if what you are buying seems odd. I bought lots of stuff from them when doing the Oka's fitout.

I find our Truma HWS to be good. Only problems have involved spider webs in the flue vent, the cover of which has long gone
I suggest you get a gas/electric version. Its very useful to be able to run on electric when hooked up - saves gas. And you can run both gas and electric together to get faster hot water delivery.

I can't comment on the current one but a couple of years ago they were having leak problems around welded seams. The stainless tank is a good idea but the problem is anywhere that it is welded. Personally I would fit a suburban. They have been around a long time and I also like the fact that they have an anode.
