Please explain the 3D bit ?
Just assume I'm putting a concrete slab down (which I'm not)

Sorry Bernie, just me being pedantic whilst taking Endone.
Bad mix.

To explain, an oblong is historically a rectangle with the length longer than the height -arguably with rounded corners. It has no depth unless defined -which you didn't- so its only 2 dimensional. A third dimension would be the depth, this dimension would give you a "front to back" where you only explained a "side to side" type measurement.
Kind of like looking at a roll of coins end on, then flipping it slowly over. It might just be the one coin, you dont know.

It shows a larger issue for engineering types when being explained a problem, we want to know all the facts before the answer can be accurate. In your case the oblong is lying down ( a concrete slab) and its third dimension (3D) is the depth you would pour it to.

Like I said, being silly, sorry to mis-align you :D

Nothing "mis-alines" me so no apology required .
As one side is larger than the other a diagonal can be done . And no concrete to be poured just a shape on the ground to mark something out , all to revealed at a later date .
And the other problem is the ground is not flat has a rise in it so I will get as close to the suggested measurement offered .
Bernie .
Got any spare pills haha .

Bernie it sounds like you've got everything covered ?? LOL.
If you are just trying to find the 90 degrees you can do the 3-4-5 or 6-8-10 trick.
Better still get Carol to do it!!! She'd be familiar with the "fold over corner to corner" method!! haha

Ok time to reveal what I'm doing . As the pics will show I'm building a igloo for the new vegie patch gunna beat those pesky bugs this time . The igloo is 6mt x 5mt and 2.1mt high in the middle . I'm winging this as I don't have a friendly Inuit (spelling) living close by . The mesh is only 5% shade and has 1/2 inch squares with smaller mesh inside the squares . I'm at this stage planning a no dig garden....will see how that goes when we get that far . Heres some pics .

Looking good Bernie!
A bit small for the motorhome though! It'll be interesting if you get some strong winds like we've had this year?
Might need a couple of guy wires.
Looks like fresh brewed beer running out of your brew shed too........... better go knock the top off that keg!
