Re: Footy
The "OLD" footy was the real footy VFL. too many pansies/princesses in the game now. Watch a game from the 60's where they played in pouring rain in mud & blood and in their tight little shorts , now that was footy....
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.

Re: Footy
so they can actually tackle them and grind their faces in the dirt, how do they stop them from being snapped in halfsupersparky wrote:T1, It doesn't have to be a Grand Final or Origin to make it a good game of footy. Aussie Rules used to have an interstate series of games many years ago, but they changed the rules to a similar format to Origin and sadly, stuffed it. So that's gone now.

Re: Footy
Back in the day Terry, back in the day........ I do have to concede that they have turned it into a bit of a pansy effort now with not much more than a bitch slap or two. Even RL has gone soft I think, compared to what it used to be.
Cheers

Did you see the head clash that busted that blokes nose, looked like a cheek bone, split above the eye, a 30 sec stop to get his senses together, then played on, they are tough mob still.supersparky wrote:Back in the day Terry, back in the day........ Re: Footy
cause you see more on the TV than you see at the game, the action is on the ball, not someone punching some out in the back of play, the fights start right where the ball is cause that is where the game is centred.bagmaker wrote:The no-necks don't seem to generate much of a crowd compared to the AFL (VFL) -wonder why ................
