Ah well, 14 x 5.7amps is a healthy amount of input in anyones language!

Understand if you can't afford the lithium set up, but we can still wire up the other stuff like the Dingo and SSR to power AGM batteries and have a max capacity of up to 400 amps with the bits we make up now, that could be increased to any number you needed.
If you plan to go with 260Ah of AGM why not look at 130Ah of lithium, same useable capacity at around the same price. That way if things start to look up for the future you can always add to the pack at a later day without having to throw away what you already have. Also keep in mind, the AGM batteries will not be able to take the 79 amps your solar can produce because the internal resistance will push the terminal voltage above 14.4v very quickly forcing the solar regulator to cut back the charging amps to stop voltage run away..... this does not happen with lithium, 130Ah @ 12v could handle 390 amps if you could generate it before it started to clip the charge current to control voltage. We still plan to be over that way in Aug.

Thanks terry,

I still had planned to have at least 400ah of AGM, it was suggested by alleged Batteries experts I opt for 2 x 260 aH AGM or 4 x 6 volt 200 ah lead acid rather than 4 or more small AGM's.
Cheers

What sort of $$ are they talking for the 4 x 200Ah 6v cells? Only a few hundred $$ the difference I think looking at the price of 200Ah @ 6v from batteries direct..... but of course that is the battery cost, not battery protection against excessive discharging or run away battery chargers and they are not just a lithium problem, many dead lead acid batteries caused by the same problems ;)
