Yep they sure are investing in green stuff. thought the floating panels to keep cool and keep efficiency up was interesting though

I saw that too. Actually got a brochure via email asking if I wanted to invest in the farm.

The marketing blurb guaranteed it would never go underwater.

I always thought the wet back solar panels were a better idea, then the heat could be used to either distil salt water to potable water or act as a preheat for a solar concentrator boiler for steam generation. I think these are the combination used by the Sundrop people out near Port Augusta http://reneweconomy.com.au/world-first- ... sta-41643/ though I think they do the solar concentration and use that to create the electricity rather than via field of solar panels.
