Not all life on earth Bill, just the greedy life forms. The others will suffer for hundreds if not thousands of yrs, but the warmer climate and increased co2 will help the plants recover. The burning down of forests will stop because the less greedy life forms can't start fire. The few of the smarter higher life forms will adapt, live in caves or underground so the heat doesn't get them. They will adapt solar stile technology so they have water to drink and water crops they can sustain a small population with but I doubt being far less reliant on red meat will be simply a life choice, more a choice is you want to live. There will probably still be roos, rabbits and anything else that can survive without regular drenching etc and can survive in very hot conditions with very little vegetation to eat for long parts of the yr.Busman wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2019 2:28 pm Did anyone actually read the link I set up ? It is by an original Greenpeace founder who ended up boss, the only scientifically trained member of the board. That alone I think qualifies it as deserving of attention. He left that organisation when they decided to ban Chlorine, which has allowed safer drinking water for billions.
It is a reasoned, scientifically backed argument that if we did not arrest falling CO2 levels all life on this planet would become extinct, where do we see this in any of the kid's arguments ?
Seems many have made up their mind and are not capable of looking at anything else ?
