YAY, I thought I Would have go an take a photo of the bloody thing in the shop.as I couldn't find one on the net.

Yer they are not too common Russell. The gas fitter that re-certified one of our bottles had never seen one before. As I didn't use the gauge I simply had a standard valve fitted when they re-certified the bottle.

Craig can you give us an idea re: certifying the gas cylinder please?
Both of mine were about 3 years out of date when I bought the MH so I just did a swap&go on both & now just get refills.
They never hesitated about taking the old ones as "swaps".
Did it cost much to get yours done?

Not all gas bottles are the same, there are different categories. So to replace my bottle with the same including a refill was over $100. So I decided to have it recertified. Also the swap and go are a smaller bottle. So if it is to fit in a designated area then make sure it will fit. I had the two bottles re-certified about a year apart, the first one cost $45 including refill and second one was $50 including refill.

If you have a bottle with a (1) or (2) in the circle and it is in godd condition and it weights empty what is stamped on the collar, get it recertified. The swap and go bottles are mostly rubbish, if you find a (2) bottle check the date, if it's in date, keep it. (4) bottles are actually only suitable for outside BBQ use in an out of the weather location, when you get your next swap and go bottle, check the number on the collar, turn it over and check for rust pitting around the base ring, both inside and outside the ring, if you find pitting even if it's painted over, put it back very carefully, don't drop it
