Dot did you just nominate G for the fitting of the diesel heater?
Maybe we should re-read his original post?
It seems he already has the diesel one & was looking for an estimate of fitting price.
Warren there is a real old time Gentleman in Millicent who deals in caravans and will bend over backwards to help anyone & everyone. He's not interested in the money much anymore..... just likes chatting & helping.
I advise you seriously to contact him and have a chat.

Thanks Admin
I will give him a call next week
I haven't bought the diesel heater as yet.
But can get it cheaper than retail . So hence not wanting to buy and haveit installed at one place.
Not going to pay $1600 + fitting . When I can buy the unit a lot cheaper , and have someone install it.
I like many only have our pension to live on

Re: Ow much to have a Diesel heater installed
All I can say is that we are very happy with our diesel heater. As we have only had the van for a year, I guess there is still the possiblity that things may go pear shaped but, as this mod was done by the previous owner and he installed the same unit in his new van (am I repeating myself?) I tend to think it's satisfactory. We know a few other vanners who have had problems with their gas units cutting out shortly after ignition. I believe there is a mod that allows more oxygen (?) to stop the auto cutout they were experiencing. At this stage, if we were to build a new van, we would go for another diesel heater.
For the OP, lots of people do their own install of diesel heaters if they are moderately handy. A search on CF should bring up plenty of threads of how to.

Spelling is fine - just make it one word. I reckon if you order now, you will have them by Easter. http://www.tracht-shop.eu/en/trachten-l ... own/a-410/Chuck wrote:Hmm... might hafta wear my 'leder hosen' shorts !!
