Don't believe in commercialised events. I have the same valentines card that was bought when we were first married. It has never been written on and is still in the original cellophane wrapping.
It gets put out in some semi hidden place for him to discover and that's about the most excitement we have for the day. After 49 years together, this is enough.

Thats very sweet Deborah. We are sort of the same. I bought Terrie a rose when we first got together more than 20 years ago. I thought it was real, but no, ever the droplets of water on the petals were fake. Anyway, it gets trotted out most years. Like most things now we follow down the path of the USA commercialised dribble. Just a money making exercise for florists and greeting cards sales in my book.

Perhaps Terry, I should have said that our well worn card is sufficient to make the sentiments of the day be noted and recognised but not using any extra cash to repeat the same message every year.
