Kay, I have seen a few of them not move for at least 4-5 days when they are digesting their latest meal, and don't feel threatened.

Lucky he doesn't live near me! I'd be into him with a michete quick smart.
I liked the utube video where a chap deliberately got swallowed by one & took a knife with him. Once inside he cut his way out!!

I had them around my home in Brisbane. Lived in garden liked the front porch. Walk up the steps and he she was basking in sun. Just back track and use other entrance. Got a photo somewhere on the back verandah. Went across the area around a pole and half way back again. I think it was a diamond python. Still there when I sold up.

When eldest g'son was about 5years old' we stopped near Mungo Brush, NSW, from a holiday away with them to check out the wind on the beach for windsurfing, we all walked up the track to the beach, returning Alexander was running ahead of us, next thing we heard this huge scream, saw him jump & run for his life then we saw a huge Python on the track the others were past it, it turned & was coming towards me, son shouted at me go back up the track Mum, think I was petrified at the size of it.
