Are you referring to the OP Martin? I am a little lost with all the off topic banter that has been allowed to continue on this thread.

Re: Hiace 4 x 4 diesel pop top
I was thinking a similar thing Martin, but we have had the kombi so long it's a part of the family so we just couldn't let it go to a stranger. The idea of a go anywhere smaller vehicle that you can live in short term towed behind the main house has real appeal. 4 X 4 flexability thrown in meaning you really can go anywhere, even in the sections where they say 4 x 4 only is even more appealing.
Craig,
There may have been thread drift but it kept the the thread alive, some times a bit of a wander isn't a bad thing if it can be brought back on topic after a while, how many pages back would this thread be buried if it had stayed on track, Martin may never have seen it.

Re: Hiace 4 x 4 diesel pop top
I saw it at the start Terry!
The pajero we have mounted the roof pod on is for towing behind the swagman. It has space in the back for a cooker, fridge, clothes etc. Have a 200l water bladder that also goes in the back., and the portapotti, shower etc. We can get off the beaten track, just not quite so tidily as the toyota would, but then its cost us less too

Back on topic, wonder how Tassie Trev is going with his turbo charged fully imported 4x4 Toyota Coaster? And shouldn't that be 4x6 as it's an all wheel drive? I mean, even my bus is a 4WD!

Experience is a wonderful thing. It helps you recognise a mistake when repeated.
