Went to Exeter markets, met up with fellow forum member [Ron, Karen & the girls]. Then went to Grindelwald Swiss Village, Chocolate shop [no] Bakery [yes some bread rolls & an eccelles cake].
Then on to Lilydale [pub allowed me to stay in yard o/n [lunch and dinner there]. Rested all afternoon till chap with noisy whipper snipper started cutting next door.

Another day drove into Launceston, got the new tyre for the 5'er. Then the pads but the discs were stuffed [only 1mm left on them], so two new discs. The mechanic checked the rear ones and adjusted them. But found that the ute has been bottoming out so off to the spring works. Booked in on Thursday for spring reset and extra leaf fitted.
So in a van park for 3 nights at Longford.

Thought you had had your share but apparently not yet. Enjoy the jail while there, plenty of long hot showers and cook with power ;) ;)

Left Longford this morning out to Iffey Falls but could not get the 5'er up there so went to Meander Dam then Deloraine and Railton. Nice RA 96 hours here if wanted. Good pub Bruce [publican] used to have the Daly Waters Pub then the one at Wauchope NT.
Scotch Fillet steak and Vegs $23. good meal.
Forgot the day started sunny then turned cold into a hail storm [more like sleet]. Yes I've got the heater on.

Left Penguin this morning on to Burnie, actually Hellyers Road Distillery makers of Australian single malt whisky. Guided tour of plant and tasting of 69% cask single malt 10 years old [smooth is the word] whisky. Each cask is worth $20k + $10k excise.
Then had lunch in their dining room [House special Pot Pie beef in a whisky gravy +spuds + Sour dough bread then hot Chocolate pudding with molton local chocolate
centre served with whisky ice cream and praline. I'm in heaven in Tassie.
Now moved to a free camp at Tall Timbers Hotel at Smithton.

Went to Arthur River for a boat cruise on one of the wildest rivers in Oz, landed upstream and had a picnic lunch with birds and Pademelons [similar to a small Wallaby]
watched Sea Eagles swoop down from their nest [nest was about 45 years old, birds were about 30 Years old with two young in the nest] and scoop up fish thrown in for them. After the tour I went to "The Edge of The World" wild weather big seas had come up since morning [no entrance into or out of Arthur River]. Now back at Smithton, lay day tomorrow and Wed a tour of Woolnorth top NW crn of Tassie [they claim the cleanest & freshest air in the world] looking west the next land is 17K km.
