Get Julie on a wheel that is jacked up? 1st gear! (or reverse)
Turning it over is simple, from the top, a screwdriver in the teeth of the flywheel, only have to turn it over twice, once to get No 1 at TDC to set tappets 1,2,4,5,8 and 9, and once to get No 6 at TDC to set Tappets 3,6,7,10,11 and 12.

Just a little hot in the bus to do it all in one go. Received word this arvo that injectors are ready to be picked up ($700) but they can wait until Monday.

I made sure that the injector pump was aligned correctly and that the appropriate valves were closed.

George, when doing the tappets,

set for 14 thou. And check with 16 and 12. It has to be tight with a 16 and loose with the 12....

trying just to do it with the 14 will always be all over the shop.

Ok one for the brain trust out there . Today I plumbed my diesel heater to the bus tank , it was on a 5lt tank .
Well the dam thing wont work will it ?
I cut into the main fuel line 40cm from the tank and put a tee piece in which is about 4ocm from my boost pump (electric).
Any clues as to why the pump (which is pulsing) and working correct before I changed its method of fuel is not drawing fuel from the tank , the tank is full 200lts .
Bernie .

Probably need to bleed it or prime it.
You sure you didn't cut & put it in the return line Bernie? Should be two lines to/from the tank. Having said that, sometimes the return line goes to the top of the fuel filter.

No correct fuel line Bruce yep thought about priming it but as my electric pump is after the tee piece it would be much the same I would think?
