Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Always different things happen when out adventuring Dot. Glad to see the bus has solid working brakes. xxxx

The house is rather sparkly tonight. Just as I was tipping some glitter off a job, the wind came up and blew the whole lot back over me. Now, I am super sparkly too. I promise pics, once all done. Tomorrow should see most of it finished for this week. It then takes a full week of just being in the sunshine, for the glue to set really well. Then I take a nail brush to the whole applique and suddenly all the finer bits are exposed. So pics will come later next week.

I finished off glueing bits of glass to magnets, with his nibs help. Some of them were so strongly gripping, that I couldn't get the darn things to separate. HIs brain might be a little slow some times, but his muscles are doing ok. He spent a long time weeding today, and that was a huge help.

At 8pm tonight I rang my friend in NZ, I said "g'day what's happening?" within the next 2 hrs I got to say "oh, really., that's good, and bye for now"  She is a real dag never short of words. Today the weather was just right so G mowed, picked some ripe boysenberries, helped me clean out the bird's house, and put some more tree trimmings on the trailer and used the blower thing to get the wisteria leaves out of the pergola, then sprayed some weeds esp that mongrel ground cover from next door, that thick green leaf thing with a red flower that takes over everything and gives cover to those wriggly sticks. Speaking of those things, my friend's 19 yr old Jack Russell killed a king brown today, she had had an operation last week but instead of having the usual Elizabethan collar on Sue had put a noodle on for a softer collar, luckily that saved the dog as the snake bit the noodle. Time for bed now, goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Chuck x :D PS Deborah sounds like things are coming right for you and the ol fella xx

Yes Dot, his nibs is slowly coming back to me. Keep out the watch for the wriggly sticks. Our issue is the redbacks and funnel webs...ggrr xxxx

I was sent off to collect some legal drugs and while I was gone, his nibs managed to vaccuum the whole house. He hates glitter so much, but I wont tell him that the job still has a few more days of full on sparkle before it's all done...

After lunch, I spent some time in my shed. It was too windy to do glitter on the verandah outside. Chopping up green glass into small bits to get tossed in the old blender to make even smaller bits. They are being made into tiny Christmas tree wreath decorations. They are firing as I type. My Progress group have been really supportive over this scary time and I want to take them all a tiny thank you. Our Christmas party is Monday, so I decided to make the tiny decorations as a thank you and happy whatever. Hopefully, by morning, that will be another job that can get ticked off the list.

I just received an order from lambchopsox. They are Aussie and make bamboo socks in patterns that don't quite match. So no pair is a proper pair, and they are stunning. Their ad says that sox have become the fashion statement that ties had become. I am in love with these gorgeous socks and I have bought a pair for most people on my gift list. I am just going to slip some coin of the realm into a pair of socks for each person, so present shopping is almost done.

I was cleaning out some cupboards this arvo and found some really really really "drugs" ;) Chemist will need a big sink to flush that lot. Bloody Mozzies, I went to pick some boysenberries, sprayed all over BUT forgot going commando was dangerous. Hope it wasn't a gay mozzie, so out came the anti itch stuff for some quick relief, next time everything gets sprayed everything. Put the boysenberries in the freezer for desert Xmas day IF we can get to Mannum that is. Deborah, I hope you are taking progress pics of your sparkles as it sounds quite a process. Well done to the old boy for getting back into "normality" Got our first Xmas card today. Think I counted 6 or 7 cherries on the tree, woopee.Time for bed so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bobk x :D

Quite windy today but it isn't blowing the Mozie's away they are knocking at the doors. My sister in Melb says they are just as bad down there. She is down to only 2 dogs now the last one to pass had a pacemaker in for years. Had a long chat but throat got too sore for any really long talk. Have to get down Melb for her birthday in Jan as haven't seen her since 2015 thanks to operations and Covid now the price of fuel also comes into the equations. Go on plane, prices UP train is full of snuffling screaming sprogs, trapped either way plus Brian can't go public transport. Hope everyone is keeping fit and well. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks x

Good luck with those Aussie Mozzies Dot. Nasty things. I would be covering any bites with dettol, just incase they carry nasties. xxxx

Yep back to the kiln, but not for long. These are the little Christsmas tree decos, that started out as glass from the blender. There is a fish pendant in there too. When it had it's first firing, it looked too fragile, so after adding some more bits, it looks pretty good, much better than the pic (as usual).

The tiny flowers came from a lady near Perth. I usually buy them from another lady in Croatia, so it's nice to be able to buy from an Aussie.

His nibs had a slower day today, to recover from his busy day yesterday. That's ok, he is showing signs of improvement every day. Tomorrow, we will see that main surgeon and will hopefully get the all clear for his nibs to return to driving. That has been his least favourite thing the whole time, but it's been good to remind me of the need to keep my driving skills more up to date too.

Good news on the Lord & Master!

Always good to hear someone is recovering after a serious health problem.

Looks like you’ve caught Bruce’s photo bug. The glass ornaments appear right way up — until I click to enlarge. Then they flip over sideways. 🙄
Regards & God bless,

Well, we had some good news.

Mum and Dad recently moved into an assisted care place about 10 weeks ago. Mum first as dad went into hospital for a kidney op. He has spongy kidneys which develops stones. Passes one every month or so since I was about 7. Finally got to bad so they removed decided to remove them. They took out 17. One is left and still giving problems.

Anyway, mum who has been very sedentary for the last 5 years found a new lease of life at the home and became active and walking about. However, she fell and badly broke her thigh right near the hip. Had emergency surgery with pins to repair. That was ok, but she woke up very confused. Doctors were talking about bad delirium and whether she would recover from it. It was slow going but on about the 12th day or so, she just clicked and started to really improve. Then, was able to start to physically move. 10 minute memory is still shot, but bright as a button.

So much so, she's back at the home with Dad.
