Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, you need to set the control at any temp you like , but must be over 19 degrees. If you set it below, you get water spitting at you and the air con will eventually blow up...don't ask how I know... Applies to caravan, car, bus and home. xxxx
It's been a hot day here. Ridiculously, last night was so cold that when I went to bed the electric blanket was needed to thaw out my toes. Tonight I have the air con blowing 20 degree cool over my desk.
I used up the whole two cans of clear paint on the library boxes and would happily use another two, but this is a bit like polishing a turd. I will not go and waste another forty dollars on spray paint. I am hoping that they will get collected soon, by the new owners. I am trying to have nothing to do with the installation. Would be my luck to have a whole fence fall down with the weight. I take no responsibility for them, once they leave the lair. Promise to try to remember the pics tomorrow.
The afternoon was spent sweltering in the garden. Just hacking away at a huge zig zag succulent that has gone way out of control. I filled the garden waste bin, so it was time to stop. The job is almost finished, maybe one more garden waste bin to fill. That can happen in a fortnight. It was such a tiny, inoffensive plant when we moved in 20 years ago. Now it thinks it owns the garden. The last two years of heavy rains have given it a huge push. So far, I have filled the bin at least three times in the last month, with just that plant and it's thick nasty sub plants.

so night all xxx

I have my aircon set at 26c, summer or winter.
Keith.

I plan to have another birthday next year.

Morning all slightly better temperature today be rising for a few more high days. AC on yesterday from midmorning till bed.
Dot i set for 24/25c this week will try 26c and see what it is like.
Trip on the weekend cancelled and prefer to be home and not having to run the van AC full time which is on the list to replace.
Take it easy stay safe Robert

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
26 or 27 in summer if it's real hot outside and the ceiling fans running to move the cooled air about. Set to low and the sniffles develop if you are in and out of the house frequently. To sit and watch the idiot box, down to between 23 and 24, agian with the ceiling fans moving the cooled air. Sometimes we set the fan closest to the air con in winter (reverse) rotation so it pushes the cooled air up to the ceiling and it flows back down around two feet away from the fan creating a nice cool room rather than just one spot of cool air flow .... saves a fortune on electricity too.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Thanks guys will have to wait for a warmer day to test your temps . Had a chat to my M8 in NZ today and she tells me they have quite a lot of that new covid variation cases over there, she also said they unlike other countries have no restrictions on people coming in from China. Hope that it doesn't get going here, really need to get away this year. Off to physio tomorrow and taking another 6 boxes of stuff for the charity place. Rang my neck man's rooms and asked his PA to ask him if he thought me seeing a plastic surgeon to review my neck scars for release would be an idea so he will ring me tomorrow for a chat.. Topped up some pot plants with a mix of chicken poop, pig poop and potting mix, only another 6 to do and that is it for this year. Bed time so Goodnight everyone x
