Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Evening all,
Pleasent day driving from Murrayville to Mannum to day, caught up with Margaret, Brian at the workshop T1 was out on the other side of the river and before we left he swam back across. We had lunch thanks to Margaret and had to go, as I had an Eye jab to get done in Murray Bridge, all went well so after some shopping at W we headed back to Murrayville. Good night, Dot.

I’ll let you know if we buy anything… 😜
Spent up big. :?
The Wagga C,C&4WD Show was much bigger than we expected. Attended the Albury show 5~6 years ago — dismal. Didn't bother with the shows for quite a while.
This one was very different. LOTS of manufacturers exhibiting their full range of sizes (unlike Albury) & everything from 'bitumen & CP cruisers' to full-on offroaders. And sizes!!! :o Everything from those baby teardrop vans which are just an enclosed bed with a mini-kitchen slung off the rear through to 28 footers with triple bunks, a separate master bedroom and full-sized kitchen & bathroom.
Oh, and Winnebago (the Yank one) had one motorhome there, along with Windsor caravans on the same site. As we've spotted Winnebago/Windsor ads in the magazine of a certain well-known club, I'm assuming there's a financial hook-up of some sort.
Quite a range of accessory sales places too. We ended up buying Ed 12 of Camps Australia-Wide, a silver shade wall for the awning (gave Girt's to the bloke who bought her  ) and some hook-thingies which anchor in the sidewall slot & wrap over the roller to provide a hook to attach your tie-down ropes. Frustratingly, the one thing we really wanted to buy was not on offer anywhere: an annexe floor-mat. :(
Still, we left $200 poorer than when we arrived.
Looks like we're in for a trip to Wangaratta or Albury… or maybe buying the mat online.

BTW, the girls loved the walk around the grounds… lots of people stopped & admired them, asked if they could pat them (of course they could!), and introduced their children to them. They even met & chatted (well, sniffed bums) with other dogs. :D They just loved being the centre of attention… "Never mind Mum & Dad, talk to us!"

Spike and dyke day. G saw the free lawyer re the house roof paint job cock up. Can do it (serve the guy on line) then we see what he does then. Long drawn out BS but these conners are getting away with too much these days. Peter I have sent you an email asking where you will be after your poke in the eye? More red tomatoes to be picked tomorrow, never ending and just one plant. I made a plumb cake yesterday, :D I couldn't get it down so G made some custard and it zoomed down, G said it was nice so I have to believe him but it filled a hole. Stay safe and goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Darrly and Annette xx :D :D PS Deborah that sandwich platter looks amazing, well done.

Thanks Dot. I made it many months ago and only looked at because it was a bit off. Once I realised that I am not making too much more jewellery (maybe one more kiln shelf full ) , I really am looking for things that could look better with a different approach. I am learning more about how to fire that damned kiln too. It's a real science, but good to keep my mind alive. How's your adventure going? xxxx

Ray, thanks for the vote of confidence mate. I know I tend to undersell my stuff. It's really hard not to scream out loud "hey look at my brilliant art work " It's just not me, can't do it. The best feedback I can have is for someone to come along and like the things well enough to buy them. You had some fun at the caravan show. Well done. The best floor mat that we have bought for the annex is the one that comes from most caravan places that claims to be invented for aircraft landing or something like that. It's expensive but it has lasted fifteen years at least and still looks good.

Today I was very zombiefied, by the drugs. As the pain is settling down a bit, I think I will be trying to lower some of the doses. I hate being useless, but I guess it was too hot to do much anyway.

I did wander down to the the kiln and looked the lace edge on the glass. It was very much too fragile looking in places, so it has more tiny bits of chopped up glass put on over the thin parts and is getting another warm up tonight. It's very easy to chop up the glass, but guessing how much is enough is a fine line. Not at all worried about it needing extra glass, but slow down the processing a fair bit. Will reassess tomorrow. Not worried if it needs more glass added again, because it's very experimental.

stay cool everyone,
night nigh xxx
Deborah

Boring day, spoke to Petels but he was way out of reach for a catch up so I decided to make Ray & Joys Lasagne recipe. It turned out nicely, I took a pic, downloaded it onto this machine and bugger me it has gone somewhere and I can't find it let alone show you. Anyway it tasted rather nice . Thank you Ray & Joy. House at the back had 1st open inspection today, I saw about 5 couples walking around plus one guy I reckoned might be a developer the way he was measuring here there and all over the block. More tomatoes, plumbs and a couple of custard apples sent next door. Lawn mowing set down for tomorrow and to move the bus from the spying position up to the usual spot to load her up with some food etc. Hope you are feeling better Deborah so you can get back into the kiln and do come more beaut plates, Try the footy colour combinations, both AFL and Rugby ones as well . Goodnight everyone x Goodnight Wayno x :D

Dot interesting idea to try footy colours. I will think about it. Hope the bus is getting packed quickly. Time for you to get out of there and find a nice rock quarry to settle down in. xxxx

I was just a zombie for much of the day. Woke up very late and just blobbed for a while.

I wanted to go to aldi to see if their camp chairs are any lighter than our old aldi chairs, which are quite ok, just heavy. We drove over to aldi after lunch and they had very tall stacks of the chairs. They have changed the design so that the back folds down and it makes a very neat package. When I tried to pick one up, I could feel why they had so much stock. The newer design would have double the weight than our older chairs and I physically could not even pick one up. Can understand why they hadn't sold out them by lunchtime, which is what usually happens with the good stuff. Was easy to walk away on that one. May have to keep an eye out in the other camping places.

After an afternoon nap, I wandered down to the shed. The glass has a lovely lace edge that is quite stable now. It's back in tonight being slumped over a former to make a funny shaped bowl. It is looking good, so tomorrow will tell all, if it stayed at the right place while bending over and still has a flat bottom.

nighty night all xxx
Deborah

Rang my M8 in NZ to see how the cyclone was affecting her, She is still up 0230 doing checks around her house as one of the big trees has come down on the side of her roof she has got a tree mob to come and sort it out but the wind is so strong she is worried more trees will come down especially over her dog kennels. Crazy weather for sure. I did nothing today apart from putting the washing away. I thought the weather was going to cool down over the next week but seems it's going to go the other way so plans to escape for a few days will be on hold as we like to be around the place for the birds. Hope you are feeling more alive Deborah, hate those drugs that turn you into a zombie, guess it's ok for the pain relief but not for too long. Hey Shirley have you been out on the lake in the new canoe?? Bed time, stay safe everyone goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight jd x :D
