Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I wrote this already and when I pressed send (or whatever it says) the program demanded that I needed to sign in to write in here. Truly that's bizarre.
Hi Dot, must be scary for your kiwi mate at the moment. Our daughter is currently somewhere in NZ. She hasn't sent any messages for a while, so we will just get told when she arrives home. Not very communicative. xxxx

Today was hot and windy. The wind blew up around lunch time and it certainly has helped to cool the joint.
This is what the piece looked like in the kiln yesterday

This is the final product (or at least that's what I was hoping)

Then the reality, someone has dropped the lace off their knickers

Must have had it at too high heat for too long.
Oh well, back to the start. I cut off the tatty lace and put the red centre back in to flatten tonight. Had some good hammer therapy smashing the lace to bits. Tomorrow it will have some fresh lace added for a fuze firing and I will go from there.
I have looked at this bowl for a long time and hated the way it looked, so this is about me winning now, persistence pays.

Nighty night xxx

Canoe still in front garden Dot, needs to be taken down to the lake, it was to windy on the lake y’day for recreation activities so I had Jacob up on the ladder cleaning the leaves out of the garage gutters, I’m not allowed on ladders :D I will have to find someone to do the upstairs gutters, the valleys get full of leaves too, fire danger.
We’ve just paid to have kerb & gutter installed, after 27 years of waiting for council to do it  with our new combined Central Coast Council broke, we’d probably be waiting another 27 years.

Shirley, is the K and G going to be just in front of your place or are all the neighbours also paying to get the whole street done?

George, the new house about 6 years ago to the west of us was having his done, so I went & asked for a quote, it snowballed from there 5 in a row to the west our side & a couple over opposite side of the road, being absolute waterfront our rates are over $4000 per year but we had no no kerb & gutters, really terrible drainage problem, no footpaths, we are actually charged a drainage levy & all our drainage is to the lake.
The new Crangan Bay estate with a couple of hundred blocks is going to add more traffic to Kanangra Drive, we’ll have to allow time if going out in busy periods & now there’s a new estate planned for up on the highway to the south of our lights which will probably also rely on Kanangra Drive.

Sounds pretty bad, Shirley!
In our town, if we have to wait for three cars to pass to get out of our driveway, it must be peak-hour!
😁

… that’s one reason we left Melbourne.
For my regular appointments at our local hospital (4km from our house) I eventually had to allow 45 minutes!

Only one road in Ray & it’s already busy at peak times, there is a dirt track/ fire trail thru to the road into Chain Valley Bay that will probably never be sealed as it’s National Park or Reserve land, at times when there has been fires we were unable to get in or out :o when we purchased here 27 years ago it was a little village atmosphere & more weekenders/ holiday houses than permanent residents, times have certainly changed.

" tanks' here---
I was here at midnight, but everybody had gone home. It must have been a good party.
I will get in early and say Good Morning.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
