Re: Good morning daily
Good morning all. Hot here this morning and usual sea breeze just starting. Bloody crow swooped me this morning on my walk- did not know they did that. Had a CT scan of pulmonary arteries yesterday to rule out lung clot causing my SOB during exercise. While she was inserting the canula for the dye, casually commented that if a clot found, straight to hosp, do not pass go, do not go home! That was unexpected but should have know that but all good anyway.
Time is passing too quickly so live life to the full with your spouse/partner while you still have she/he by your side.

Re: Good morning daily
Just got back from the morning walk, did about 3 km today. We saw a Giant Trevally, more than a metre long i reckon, in the little lake where it empties into the creek. There are some big mackerel in there too, as well as a lot of off shore reef fish.
Never heard of a crow swooping before either Kay. Hope it doesn't make a habit of it.
Helen, would love to see some pics of Wellington Dam.

"tanks" here---
Sir Michael Somare died at age 84 years; He was 2 years older than me.
I recall that Graham Allman, who made the model tiger moth aeroplane out of empty XXXX beer cans, which hangs from the ceiling in the men's cave at house 41, was the head of the personal bodyguard detachment for Prime Minister Somare in the late 1960's when we were in T.P.N.G., for the construction stage of the Bouganville Copper Mine Project .
Allman got on the 'piss' a bit too much late one night and pulled his revolver out, and was going to blow Somare's brains out over a disagreement they had. Grahame was credited with bringing the outlaw mob the "Rebels" under control. He trained and controlled a force of some 400 special police. Graham was put on a plane back to Cairns early next morning, with a lifetime ban, never to be allowed to enter New Guinea again.
When you are not busy and just out of interest have a look at:-
"Bougainville Copper Project 1970s PNG Copper Mine promotion film".
It is about 30 minutes and you have to click on "Skip the Ads" when it drops down on the right lower screen.
Also worth a look at 18 minutes is: Golden years on Bouganville. This was made by one of the blokes after my time.
Bouganville Copper Mine was the biggest copper mine in the world at that time, not only for copper, but also produced massive amounts of gold. I was assigned there when the revolution started, but I had returned to Australia (Mackay) before the revolution developed into a civil war, with lots of loss of life.
Just a bit of history. The videos/ blogs brought back a lot of memories for me.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Good afternoon, been very busy this week, we've had cloudy days but no more rain, been humid.
Helen, the ganglion reappeared been seeping, went back to Dr., & he gave me antibiotics 4 a day for 10 days, thought it might seal by itself & I would just have a lump, appointment next Monday afternoon, hasn't sealed yet & is sore if I bump it, thanks for asking.

Good morning...yep as Bob said I dropped in for some free coffee and chat...good catching up again.
I have a new (to me) sway bar to put on the VW Golf...maybe today or when ever
Still to assemble and fit one more cupboard for herself
No rain yesterday.
"tanks" I need these trips to keep from doing what Carol wants me to do
Bernie.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone. Spent most of the day mowing and trimming here as well. Found a juvenile blue tongue lizard hiding in the weeds. That was the highlight of the day.
Hope you enjoyed your coffee and a yack Bernie n Bob.
Going to head up Maleny way next week so got a bit of packing and putting away to do.
Safe travels all those on the roads, have a great weekend.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning, rained here overnight which means that Sean won't be able to do his share of the mowing, I managed to get my share done yesterday afternoon after the grass dried. We are spending quite a lot of time researching 2nd hand cars and have made an optimistic offer on a 2010 Kia Rio with 97K on the clock while still hoping to find something better.
