“Ya gotta wonder about who designs this stuff. We even thought we'd give the Irish Electrician theory a try, the fridge powered by the house battery but only on when the engine was running, but still nothing. At least we have sorted the screaming inverter problem so the fridge can run full time from the inverter on 240vac. Vic is going away in it this week end so we will see just how much it uses overnight.”

Yep, you would think this was the first van of the first model ... very poor... and me now for the folding stuff ya gotta fork out for the poxy things ...!!!

I must have missed something with regard to the fridge set up problem. Yes fridge 12v control panel power is separate to the fridge element. Yes there is a solenoid in the ignition system that tells the fridge control panel that 12v is available to the fridge element when the engine is running. And it has a separate fuse (possibly behind the dashboard).
Also a 15 minute time delay for gas ignition after power is removed to the elements.
So when the 240 v is removed, is it completely turned off and the fridge control panel does not register it?

Sorry Vik, I mentioned the 15 minute delay simply for info. It is a safety that prevents the flame igniting when you turn power off to the elements. It is to prevent flame ignition when you turn the vehicle off when you are refueling. 15 minutes to fuel up and drive off.

I'm guessing either the fridge control panel is seeing 240v or the solenoid in the ignition system is not actuating. Look for a fuse in the dash.

Well this thing is dooin my head in... not that it would take much when it comes to sparks...!!!

On auto the fridge is 240 allways = no 12 volt or gas fair enough, so camped fot the night on gas... :D

That water heater switch (avida one) and 240 volt switch is beyond me,with it off the heater still seems to work cos the red light still comes on and it goes clunk (I’m off the pi55 remember, looks like time to get back on it FFS...)

So when your free, we gotsta put 12 volt in for the friggin fridge and sort the heater ,no use under warranty cos you know the story, they wouldnt wanna look at it even if you hadn’t ... even then “ You Want It When

When you come up next trip we will sort the fridge 12v problem and fit a switch to turn the hot water off without needing to pull the lounge to pieces to get to the power point. Think about where you want the remote switch ..... or do you want it to turn the hot water on for a 5 mins each time the battery reaches 100% SOC? That way the hot water can't come on while the air con compressor is running because it uses a bit more than comes in from the solar, the system just catches up when the air con compressor cycles off.
