Thanks Jon I have down loaded a parts catalogue ....but that's all they are.....they don't tell how to time the injector if timing is unknown .
Same with the fuel flow to lean or enrich I cant find nothing in the manual about that...but I do know now thanks to George .
Thanks Bruce , there is no filter on the catch can . DUUU cant read "A" Bruce (fitting) hehe .

"For said Isuzu parts, I can pick them up from Dandenong Isuzu and post them to you. (03 9215 2300)"

Thanks for that offer Jon but I like to look on the computer at the truck place in Maryborough then I can see what part I want and they order .
There is a diesel mechanic just before Maryborough I will take my injector pump with me when I go some time next week maybe he can confirm TDC for me .
Bernie .

Bernie,

The manual says the line on the pump and drum marks must align when the crank shaft pulley is at the 14* mark when the Number one is on the compression stroke.TDC Number 1 on compression stroke.

Section 6, page 6A-113 and 6A-114 (I thought you had those pages.)

I'll scan the 2 pages on Monday.

It doesn't say.

You need to fill the pump inlet up with some diesel and rotate it and watch the little squirts come out each outlet.

Then align it to #1 cylinder squirt.

Duh.

The pump rotates 1 complete turn every full sequence of piston fires. 1-6.

The gear in the time cover divide the rotations.

The mark is #1 squirt.

Yes I was going to try the squirt test.
Your last bit confused me....easily done.

When the cam is squiring on #1, (see picture)

The pump mark must align with the drum mark. AND

The crank pulley mark must be 14* TDC on Number 1 piston compression stroke.

As you can see, the pump is driven by a cam. It rotates once for every time the 6 pistons fire.
So, the pump mark indicates #1 squirt.

Yes but the injector pump is on the bench at a unknown rotation. Like which one of the 6 rotations
