Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Hope the grevilleas surprise you with a growth spurt and look amazing by spring. Dot, you asking questions? Op shop today was a stainless steel contraption that looks like it's meant to hold paper towels. If it fires up well, it will be an interesting experiment with glass flowing through the grids. $2 well spent. This trip has been mostly books, because I read about three books per week. Have just left a pile of ten books in the laundry here.
What special things did I make for this trip? A lot of fancy pendants that look sort of oceany...see weed , fish and/or coral and they had the added bonus of having pins fitted to make them multi use pendant/brooches. xxxx

We survived a long driving day yesterday and arrived in Tamworth in time for afternoon naps. Today was a quick trip to op shops and jaycar for some aerial plugs. He bought the wrong plugs, so returning tomorrow.

Sorry Dot, no new pics. Your new neighbours should appreciate that you are such good neighbours. Hope they are nice peoples too xxxx

After a very quick trip South to Muswellbrook, I declared it was time to go home. It was too cold to fiddle around and set up in the rain and home was another hour away. So we had a hot cross bun for lunch in the van and came home to be greeted by a lovely sunny afternoon.
Our neighbours have eaten all of the dragon fruits that were just starting to ripen, before we left. They were asked to enjoy them before the possum ate the lot. The mango has still got a few fruit on, but they seem very hard. Will investigate that tomorrow.

As we are heading off again for next weekend to do another selling event, we left a fair bit in the van. All the clean clothes are still in the cupboards, we left a few things at home. He won't need to unpack much out of the truck, because most of it will be needed at the event for the weekend, so the whole lot is parked up on the side of the road out front.

Our son has had the sadness of his MIL departing this life, so we all have a funeral to attend on Wednesday. Not really looking forward to that, but we had to be home to be there for them.

Dot, asleep in the lounge chair? xxxx

Had a frustrating day with an xray place. We had to get home to open up the referral sent by snail mail from his ear specialist. I rang and was told I could have an appointment for tomorrow, but they demanded to have a copy of the referral and check with their doctor before it would be a definite appointment. I sent the the photo and waited for the promised return call. I rang at 3 to be told there were no more appointments until Friday for MRIs. After much explanations of the previous phone call, I have finally arranged for him to have the promised appointment tomorrow and a further one for a ct scan in May was also booked. What a mess up that has been.

More loads of stuff were brought in from the van, the washing was done (and returned to the van). The lawns were mowed (not by me) and the place looks like we live here again.

Yes Deborah I did go to sleep in the chair until it got too cold. When the smart ass on the ed of the line tells you to get another request tell them to ring whomever to get the request (copy) Cheeky buggers these reception people. Some of these Drs receptionists get too nosey for their own good. I never send the referral through I always take it with me and hand it to the Dr.  Hope it all ended up ok for you though. Peter aka Petels are you giving up on the travelling thing when you sell your set up? This afternoon Brian and I had a little snooze out in the bus. Good to hear Mr Phoenix is improving, I hate it when the fur babies are off colour. Are you back at the bowls yet Shirley? Has anyone heard if most of the main highways up North are open, and what about the road up the middle? any still shut off? don't hear much these days after the floods = old news.Take care and goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Riverlander x :D

Hi. Still not too much going on up here. Just finished picking my oranges. Gave them to someone from Melbourne that will use them for juice as he has a small juice factory. Just glad he could use them or I would have dropped them on the ground and put the mulcher over them. Might try to sneek off for a few days before Faye has her scans and Drs. appointments again.
Goodnight Dot.

Dot I can assure you that the New England Highway as far as we could go was ok. No roads have been wonderful and roadworks in Qld seem to happen every few kilometres. It's more stop than go up there, and we really only went up to just above Brisbane. Can't tell you about the middle, but we plan to be heading up there again in July. Lightning Ridge for the last week in July, Sapphire two weeks after and Rockhampton a week after that. Never say never, is becoming my motto. xxxx

Took his lordship to the MRI place with no problems at all. The time it took was just long enough for me to explore a new huge junk shop that has opened up next to the xray joint. Good retail therapy was had.

Found some more stuff that needed to be removed from the van before our next quick weekend away. Sorted all that out, had a quick dinner and daughter arrived. She left the rest of her family at home and it was really good to have some time with just her and no interruptions.

Good morning again, sure am back at bowls Dot, pleased to say that I have well trained my new set of bowls, they are travelling good & landing where I send them :D the selection committee keep putting me as a skip, don’t like playing in that position, like being told where to bowl not telling team members where I want them to bowl  all to frustrating
I have been busy, busy with the lads, never a dull moment at our home.

Peter, it doesn’t seem like 11 years since you purchased the 5th wheeler, unbelievable how time flys, good luck with selling it.

Wow Shirley I thought for a mo you were going to be a rubbish bin ie skip so I take it that means the boss or leader of the team. I am watching the BOB's doing their thing in Belgium. I am rather excited as today I got a text from my long lost school friend that was a prison officer at Pentridge yrs ago, she wrote the book "Screw" and it made one hell of a splash within the penal system = corruption. it ruined her life literally. I have not heard from her in roughly 20yrs and I have no idea why? Every year I send her birthday wishes through her sons fb messenger and this time something must have got to her, Shall see after she rings tomorrow night. :) 57ks to ride so off for a shower and to see the finish from the boys. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Mr Bandit x :D
