Dotty, 108 is a tad high for Diastolic. Take it easy. I forced myself to remember D= down/diastolic.
Time is passing too quickly so live life to the full with your spouse/partner while you still have she/he by your side.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
What a day hey what? Did a bit more sorting and packing the freezes in the bus and guess who had put mostly cakes in??? And guess who took most of those cakes out again? I am sleeping in the bus tonight along with Brian getting him ready for the upcoming travel. Took Brian to the vet for a recheck up and to get the ok to start his meds again for his sneezing etc. His herpes has raised it's head due to some form of stress (cats from the back) This cond was a result of cat flu when he was a baby. Then we headed to Mannum to see Margaret & Terry, As expected they are suffering from disbelief and are thoroughly shell shocked. They are tough cookies and they will come out the other side ok. Might even get to see Rustic Inn rebirthed??? Off out to the warm us now. Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Bobk nice to see you appear again x

Hope Brian travels happily Dot. You give his health as many checks as you get for yourself, that's true devotion. Happy bussing xxxx
GP surprised us with flu shots on Thursday. As soon as we sat down he asked to give them to us. He didn't even stop asking us questions before hitting them in. The good thing was that he signed the paperwork for the health fund to get him a refund of $1200 off his hearing aide that was fitted on Friday. This is technology at it's finest. So tiny, that I can't see if he's wearing it or not. It changes in intensity automatically when it senses that something is too quiet or too loud. The most interesting part is that, by using an app on the phone, he can change the setting easily for himself.
The excitement for today was the foxtel man came, fitted a replacement upgraded box and then showed his lordship how to plug it into the van.
The rest of the day was spent filling in a lot of forms for the health fund to get some money back...oops the forms dated back to last February, no wonder it took so long.

All that is left to do now is clean the house up a but, turn off things like TV, HW, gas etc etc then we are off on the slow trip to Taggerty. May be off air for a few days so take care everyone see you when ever. Goodnight everyone x

Dot, you would love our pre-trip spreadsheet. It lists every thing that has to be switched off and where to put the power leads etc. It only takes to forgetting to turn off the water to the dishwasher, and you know how our luck runs...prevention is good. Happy travels mate xxxx
More on his hearing aide. Today he asked if we could try to load it onto his ipad. Well after remembering what sort of device it was and trying to find the right passwords etc, it took us a fair while. Now he can access the volume controls etc on his ipad when I am using the phone. He is pretty pleased with it all. I am just enjoying the no more loud voices needed.
It sure is getting chilly here at nights. I have the bed warming again tonight and will be there very soon, even if just to thaw out a bit more.

Our foxtel box only lasted a day before his lordship had complaints. One of his favourite channels was not to be found. I spent a couple of hours with foxtel today, this time on the computer. Stupidly, I thought it might be easier than the phone. We seemed to be getting down to the actual helping us, when we were asked to find a couple of things on the bottom of the box. The serial number was in the tiniest of print and had at least 30 characters in it. We got that bit right and returned to the study to the computer. The bot at foxtel had declared that we had lost the connection so it had turned off the conversation. We couldn't go back to that one, but had to start all over again with another crazy bot. Another couple of hours wasted. Turns out that the channel numbers on the loungeroom box are not all the same as the numbers on the new box. So now we have to remember a few more numbers. I tried to get through, that this is not really reasonable, but they just answered with "sorry for the inconvenience, as you no longer have a problem goodbye" PITA
I also learnt that we are paying for a thing called foxtel go, which gives us access to foxtel on our phone or ipad. I spent a fair bit of time setting it up on both my phone and his ipad. He is really happy with that. We are going to try it on our next escape and leave the foxtel box and dish at home, to see if that is easier all round. Hope this doesn't make a mess of any of our download plans. His ipad has an unlimited amount, so he should be ok. Only time will tell.

Shirley--- Use your mobile phone to take photos of the little numbers and then you can enlarge the photo to be able to read the numbers. Also you will have a rec0rd for future ref.dream4red wrote: ↑Tue May 02, 2023 1:36 am Happy travels Dot, hope Brian and Gman behave![]()

Shirley,
Foxtel is very sensitive to people cancelling. If you ring up to cancel, they offer you all sorts of deals to stay.
Try it. You'll get a better deal at a cheaper rate.
