Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good evening all,
Just spent the day at Dr's,
1.1100hrs cutout six BCC from Back and one from behind the R ear.
2. GP to get Licence form filled in, She insisted that I get Bloods done first and get the Optomologist to fill in his bit first.
3. Pathology for blood sample to be taken.
4. Ca$ino Hospital for wound dressing to be changed. 1400hrs back home.

Tomorrow Optomologist to get form filled in.
Then wait till next Monday to see GP again for blood results and form filled then Service NSW to get licence back.
Has anyone got photos of T1's ashes?

Goodnight all

Good evening All. I am parked up in Alexandra after doing a little shopping and coffee drinking but I also took quite a walk around the town, ending up in the beautiful park notheast of town, well worth the visit. I also spent some time sorting out a problem with the headlights not working and all is good now.

Back to the bus Dot, nothing happening here    hope you're warm in there xxxx

George, you have much better eyesight than some people here ;) Thanks for the correction mate. Have you tried to look up showgrounds and sportsgrounds camping on their facebook page? Sorry, just checked, correct name of page is Showgrounds Sports and Rec Grounds Camping. It lists every showground that allows camping and a lot more too. Used with wikicamps, you can't go without a safe place to rest your tyres.

Keith, the idea of using the phone is great. Will give that a go next time. We were being rushed by an expert.
Jon, good thinking. I will have to do the phone call and not the computer, to use that sort of plea bargaining. I think we were "talking" to a bot.

Today we got a lot of small things sorted. I finally got into gear to face the government page and apply for our seniors travel cards (that $250 each for petrol) and the electricity scheme that gives us $200 towards energy bills. That's almost worth navigating the state government page. His nibs then got an email stating that he has changed his address with the gov. Not bloomin likely. He told me that as we were walking out the door to take him to get his ears cleaned out. The whole time we were out, I worried about another person trying to use his account.

When we got home and I could access his gov account, no the address is still the same as the one we have had for the last 20 years. Don't really know what that was about, so I added the extra feature to the account, so that it can only be accessed after using a number passcode sent to our phone. That should help to keep it a bit safer.

Other than that' it's been a cold sunny day with a bit of breeze and the warm bed is calling,
nighty night xxx

Dot, hope the diesel heater is working up a steamy bus. xxxx

Peter H. Hope your health issues get cleared up real soon mate.

Been another crazy day here again. I had a luke warm shower and asked if the booster switch was turned on or off. Somehow it has been off each morning, for a few days. He puts it back, but it's off again. Called our solar guy (it's solar hot water), only to find that the issue is with the element that we replaced one year and 3 days ago. Last year, they sent a different techy and he refused to fix it, said plumber job. The boss then arranged for a separate company, hot water maintenance, to come and do that repair. Today, the electrician was one who has been to our house regularly. He was happy to go and get another element and replace the old one. While he was off getting the element, I pulled up the receipts and found the exact dates. So the big boss can work out how to get us reimbursed for that faulty element. I am so looking forward to that long hot shower. It hasn't been great since we returned from travelling around the countryside. How many of you added "like a Leyland brother" ? Feels like that some days.

A few days ago, I called up an antenna guy to have a look at the caravan for us. I had forgotten his call, so when he rang back, it was a surprise. He found that the jayco booster box has done it's last bit of boosting. He was here at the same time as our sparky, so it was bedlam for a while. We have ordered the part and will get antenna man back once it arrives. It looks like a simple thing to install, but his nibs is not confident with anything like that at the moment.

Next was a phone appointment with the surgeon who did his last op. The news is good. The scans that he had done on Monday look perfect, no signs of strokes or any damage. So we were very lucky. Surgeon is Spanish and his language is difficult to comprehend, so I will have more questions tomorrow. The lady brain specialist who sent us to the Spanish surgeon has a phone appointment with us tomorrow. She knows what she is talking about and is very easy to understand. So I have written down a few questions for her.

After all that mayhem, I went down to my piano and had some personal therapy time. The tuner had warned me that some notes would not stay perfect for long and he was right. There were times that it sounded like some cats on the fence. I will give it some more workouts and once the bank balance has a better colour, I will be getting the tuner back.

The meal time excitement was that I had tried to cook chicken carbonara in the slow cooker. This was a success, so may have to add that to the repertoire. We had signed up to a slow cooker f**kbook page while we were travelling. He was ready to buy a slow cooker for the van after seeing so many interesting ideas. Not happening. We don't stay close to the van when away and I don't like to leave electrical things unattended. He has been hinting for days that he wanted us to try that one. Now what else can he find to suggest for the long slow cook?

The wind here at the moment is so strong and loud, it's making the freezing night feel even more frozen.
So off to that warmed bed,
night all xxx
Deborah

Deborah--
Ray & Joy have a slow cooker thing- like a large vacuum jug. They said that it was a good quality Thermal Cooker, and it was magic.
WE had several full meals from it and there was no complaint from me. Didn't even need to use any electricity - just put the food in in the morning and it is ready late afternoon/night when you decide to eat.
Joy said that there were various levels of quality and price of the cooker unit.
