Does anyone know the name of the American entertainer that wanted to turn the area surrounding Brunswick Heads NSW into a canal estate like Miami in Florida USA?

Definitely David, I think all of the NSW coast is scenic but I am biased, we certainly have some of the best beaches.
When was the first ingots poured at BHP Newcastle site & when did BHP Newcastle close?

For some reason 1999 comes to mind but s to first ingot! Maybe early 1900s.

BHP bought land on the Hunter river in 1896, the first ingots poured 1915, the plant was closed on the 30th September, 1999.
