Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Washed Bruce’s bedding today & a couple of his fleecy lined jackets, he’s had the flu & been on antibiotics, he moved into one of our spare bedrooms when I had the flu & Covid, it was a beautiful sunny day so all dried & put away.
We had the 3 younger g’sons here most of the day & the eldest Nathan blew in about 3pm, all went home at 5.30, when son rang, barbecue was all cooked, time to come home.

Watching the da Vinci code, good movie, ages since we last watched it.

Goodnight Dot, goodnight & travel safely everyone roaming & goodnight to everyone at home too. :D

Geez Dot, I wish I could say the same about a sizzling fire :o xxxx

You should hear the racket over my head. We found that the possum has been munching on my last green dragonfruit ie, not letting it get ripe and red. After we removed it today, we found that the blighter has munched on both sides of the fruit little gutz. Anyway he's up there tonight rampaging because his delicacy is no longer there. Next year as soon as the fruit starts forming, I will be trying to get cloth bags around each piece. No possum is getting dragonfruits again.

Today we had help from our tenant and her partner to move the boxed heater into the house. I have been concerned that having it in the boot of the patrol, anyone coming onto the block would see the heater and get tempted to pinch it. Still no sightings of the plumber. :x

Tenant then dropped the bombshell that we have been expecting. She and partner are thinking of buying a house together. She was more emotional than us. I realise that we have kept the rent down super low, because she has been a good tenant. Watch out for bigger rents and therefore no stress when the doubled council rates come in, later this year.

That's all the excitement for one day...think we are leading a fairly quiet life at the moment.
night all xxx

Hi Deborah, sounds like your unimproved land valuation doubled too, ridiculous rise in 3 years & like us you probably don’t have footpaths, kerb & gutters, we just paid for kerb & guttering ourselves after 27 years of waiting & our road levels are terrible when it rains we have huge puddles all along the side of the road, the price Wyong shire residents are paying for the amalgamation with Gosford : :o

Had visitors today, they were on their way back home from being away for a few weeks up north. Yep Robert n Bob and Molly texted they would be dropping in so I jumped out of bed had a shower then made scones, started to get a bit concerned as it was longer than we expected them to be. The scones jams and cream were done and going cold then they turned up, the flying Molly came in first saying Make way I need the loo  . Robert was having aches in his neck again and wanted to get home for a rest. After the scones had gone we loaded them up the remaining apples, green tomatoes and jars for their pickles etc but forgot the lemons. Once again I got pizza bases from supermarket and tried a different brand, put the same toppings on it and baked as advised, it turned out even crappier than the last attempt, Think it is time to give up. I haven't been bothered watching the supercars last few times, hasn't been the same since the Holden V Fords hey Bobr? . Watched Mrs Brown again tonight, can't help laughing every time I watch her. Nasty weather coming in this week so take care everyone esp on the roads, get well all sick ones. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bernie x :D

Boy, you have been busy Dot. Those scones are popular. xxxx

Yes, Shirley our VG is doubled since last time. So with central coast inflated rates, our combined rates will go up from $5000 to $10,000 per year. My only question is "When do I get a gold plated garbage bin?" Ours is the only property in the street which has curbing and guttering, it was already done when we moved in and there are definitely no foothpaths worth walking on. Most peoples walk on the road.

Today was weird. Firstly, off to collect some drugs from the chemist. They had to get some supplies in to fill a script. Then we went to the hammer shop to get keys cut (using some free key cutting vouchers). That was excitement indeed.

On the way home, we stopped to inspect the walkway on the other side of the point. To check out where some upcoming works have been scheduled to be done by Parks n wildlife.

Once home, I had the exciting job of going through the boxes of pills, that had been sorted into daily doses. Remove one minute pill from each day and replace it with another equally tiny pill. The endocrinologist has replaced my thyroid drug that had to be refrigerated with one that does not need refrigerating. All the drugs are now kept out of the fridge. Probably easier to manage the storage of them all now.

That's the excitement to last for a day. It was just so cold n miserable (even with the sun shining weakly), we both felt in super slow gear.

Stepped out side x 1 today, cold wind. I am pleased to say I won my case re parking ticket from March. Did you know if there are no disabality spaces available and you have to use an ordinary car space that if you display your reject hanging thing that you can stay in that spot for double the said time and not pay ie if the time limit is 2 hrs you can stay there for 4 hrs as long as you display your permit. :o Rosy our friends dog we are doggie sitting rang tonight and she said Ballarat was freezing, no shite Sherlock  . Speaking of rates, our block is dearer than out house rates ? Shirley well done with your bowls winnings. Bernie have you put up any pics up of your newest bus? if so where? I can't remember seeing any. How are you doing Bobr? Deborah it seems that the lack of manners with tradies is getting more common, they don't need to worry plenty of work she'll be right M8. Off to the shower now so stay safe if out on the roads. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bruce x :D

Dot, You're so right about tradies with poor manners. This one knows that he is the only one on the coast who has done the training, so he has us over a high barrel. Good one for the parking ticket xxxx

House cleaning day. That was fun... not. Then off to progress meeting. Seems to me that we have a lot of very little happening. Some fancy history signs are taking up a lot of our time. We have been trying to contact the wrong indigenous group apparently, so will be trying to locate another mob and see if they bother to answer our questions. Seems like we are treading water in a very deep hole.

Nighty night xxx
