Not mine was like that when we bought the place its just a 1/2 acre block behind us , no animals to keep in or out .
That's my story and I'm sticking with it .

Hi Bernie,

There is a recommendation in the manual to flush out the oil cleaner. Sounds like they gunk up.

I have taken the oil cooler from the cover to show what it looks like Jon .
There is damage to the out side cover from electrolysis not enough to be a problem .
Bit foggy here this morning .

After scratching around the cover with oil cooler removed I found what I didn't want corrosion not visible from the outside
but with a small screw driver the worst was revealed . Obviously been run at some time in its life without coolant .
So now need a new cover .

Oh no! :o :?
Is it only in one place bernie?
I had holes in an aluminium heat exchanger on a boat some time ago & my friend bogged it up, ground it down flat and it looked like a new one.
I think it was made by Loctite and was some sort of epoxy alum compound. He said he'd even used it to rebuild ring grooves in pistons.
