Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Hi Dot, no mushroom poisoning, actual mushrooms were hard to find, so I suspect they were the tinned kind. xxxx

Had a super slack day today. Did the touristy thing and drove around town. That took ten minutes. We had hoped to find a pub with lunch meals, but didn't look like any were open. The only place open was the iga, so bought a bbq chooken for tonight and tomorrow night meals. The rest of the day was spent relaxing.

Go watch those bums on bikes Dot. The foot surgeon seems keen to impress you now mate. Hope it all works out for the best xxxx

Drove into Goondiwindi today. Surprise, there were no wide loads to share the road with.

We are back to the same showgrounds that we visited last year. Last year it was a quagmire of thick mud, this year its a dustbowl. The whole area needs some good rain, dust everywhere. amazing the difference that a year can make.

We arrived here around noon and there were not a lot of sites to choose from. Mostly seeing mexican number plates, so I guess they have all had their winter holidays in the warm.

Tomorrow will be a rest day, so serious sleeping time,

nighty night xxx

Well done Shirley, hope you are fully fit now. Deborah the Jayco boys are doing ok but still a way. Had a call from an old forum member (by old I mean has been for a long time not his age) and he was as chirpy as ever but he tells me he has been diagnosed with a nasty rare lung disease and the medics have given him 2-3 years to go but never say never and I won't tell his name I will leave that to him when he is ready but I know all of us are "rooting" for him. On a brighter note, it was another nice warm sunny day, more washing done, I cooked tea and ate some ok but looking forward to pudding Custard and stewed apples. yum. BOB 's on soon so off for a shower and cop yus tomorrow. Goodnight everyone x :D

Dot, your old mate has already told about his disease on his other forum, Sorry I thought he would have told you before this, or I would have shared it privately with you. Your diet seems to be getting a bit more varied, hope you can keep this up. xxxx

Well done Shirley. Boy, you travel all over the coast for your bowls games. Next you will be telling us that you have gone up to playing in the olympics. ;) ;)

We had our rest day with a lovely pub lunch. While driving around town, we heard a couple of wide load pilots giving directions. We were surprised to hear a creep get on the radio and start up a whinge about wide loads. He really was endangering lives and made us cranky with his antics. The pilot finally had a go at him and told him to pull his head in (different language, but meant the same). Cannot believe people would be so stoopid.

Back on the road tomorrow. I think it will be Nerandera showground for a couple of nights.

Dot, good luck tomorra with the foot surgeon. xxxx

Had a good drive to Narrabri. Today's big load story is better. We heard a pilot warning a tip truck to stop at the edge of the road. Tipper ignored the request and just drove off. So we followed the direction, no worries. The pilot drove up to our window and thanked us for stopping. Then he got back on the radio and told the big load driver to go as close to the tiptruck as he can, so that he wets his pants. He has us laughing for quite a while.

We estimate at least 60 caravans here tonight and it's very crowded. Seems to us that there are a lot of vans on the road this week. The next two towns that we plan to stop at don't have caravans in their showgrounds, so I decided to book ahead for the caravan parks. All done, no dramas. The final stop is Dubbo and with a poor reputation for it's safety, we would not stay at the showy, so that was booked a few weeks ago.

All good here, so nighty night xxx
Deborah
