Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, the choking sounds absolutely terrifying for both of you. I hope AJ is able to give some useful advice for you both. xxxx

Another get together today. This time was our local progress. We have just received a big grant to develop some historical signs around town to add to our shared pathway and footpaths. Not all footpaths here have neat cement walkways, most are just grass/weeds that may or may not be mown by locals. Our get together was just meant to be drinks and nibbles, but it ended up being dinner, with so much food.

Tomorrow we will get the van packed ready to head off to Forster for the big day.

night all xxx

Deborah enjoy your packing up again and hoping you make a killing. We had out much needed haircuts this morning, did a small amount of shopping then headed to Birdwood for my GP appointment. Report from my Bone density was Osteopenia, thought I was changing for a minute  But it is when your bones are weaker than normal but not so far gone that they break easily, which is the hallmark of osteoporosis. But she decided to examine my poor legs and noted my R) hip was showing signs of not right with a certain movement so Yep/ off for an X/R. She also checked my sore throat, and belly and back after the choking thing. She said we should of called the ambulance as the blockage was taking some time to clear. Re the medical dope, she said I could go and see some clinic that assesses your strength needed but it costs over $400 a month  Going to do more homework on this stuff. NO op shops open now till after Xmas, I thought they would be open right up till Xmas eve as people have a lot of bits and pieces still to get. I made some shortbread tonight testing in the morning. Bought some roadside cherries on way home $15kg. I had scrambled eggs for tea tonight, playing it safe for a while. Off to bed now I am stuffed. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight NP x :D

Dot, no killing to be made this trip. It's our usual family Christmas get together. I get out of house work and a lot more cooking when in the van. ;) ;) ;) If you take the whacky weed for pain, you can't drive with it in your system, so that's another reason to keep trying other avenues. Hope you get some relief from the choking thing xxxx

It was not just hot today, but hugely humid. That made packing the van into quite a chore. Anyway, it's all done now and we will be leaving home in the morning with or with out anything else. After we had made all the plans for meals etc, our daughter rang last night to say that they have to go to Melbum to be with his family, so our event will be smaller. It really takes a lot of pressure off me as to providing them in their tent with meals and bathroom etc. It will be nice to get to use the parks ensuite that we pay extra to have for the kids. We will miss them, but I am thinking that I just had a score for the extra work that won't all be happening over Christmas this year. We will be celebrating with them later in January, suits me fine.

nighty night xxx

Hope you got some useful advice from your GP Dot. xxxx

We had a very slow, wet trip up the road. We arrived at lunchtime midst heavy downfalls. Not a great start to our holidays. We are settled in with the tv off and not a drop of rain falling (for the moment). Weather man suggests that it will get heavy again tonight so time will tell, if he is right or not.

Before we left home, I was able to deliver a few more plates of biscuits to the neighbours and when we arrived here, I did the same for the ladies in the park office. They had been so good to us when we cancelled last year and allowed our money to be used this year, so of course a nice thank you doesn't go astray.
I suggested to his nibs, that the plate I had for our mechanic might not get delivered because it was raining when we got closer to his workshop. Lucky that his lordship stopped and did the delivery in the pouring rain. Our mechanic's wife/receptionist was so happy to see him with biscuits. She told him that they really make it feel like Christmas once they get their biscuits. Glad that he is kinder than me sometimes

sweet dreams everyone xxx

Deborah when the pot people do their assessment of your woes and decide how much of the 2 components they mix for you and that is when the stuff stops you from driving for 24 hrs or so if it is above a certain level. If I got pulled over and asked to do the tongue scrape un beknown to them I would scrape my arm  I had a call from my Claytons daughter in NZ letting me know her sister my other Claytons daughter (Brisb) has been diagnosed with lung cancer and op 10th Jan. This is the 3rd time bloody cancer has attacked her. This girl has never smoked either. She is a strong woman and will kick this one as well. Off for my hip / pelvic X/Ray in the morning while George keeps stacking the food into the bus  Stay safe everyone all the sickies get better soon. Goodnight everyone :D x Goodnight VicA x :D

Cancer is such a pervasive word it makes us all shiver and pay attention. Dot, fingers crossed for your other sorta daughta. xxxx

Finished up setting out the annexes and made it fairly rain proof. Then we headed off to the local all you can eat Chinese for lunch. It was yummo.

Followed this with some WW shopping. Bought the ham and supplies that were needed to survive the weekend. Filled half the trolley with $160 worth of groceries, used up all of our points and ended up paying $20 for the lot. It's so good to get a nice discount now.

Came back to the van as it started to drizzle and has kept sprinkling on ad off all night. Hope it stops soon.

If you are travelling regardless if it's 5k or 500k, please stay safe and watch for eejits. They are out there and someone lets them drive vehicles.

night all xxx

Some of our forum people may remember our friend from WA, Jamie and his wife Glori they were over here some years ago. Well Jamie (50 ish) already had a heart condition but now he has a nasty lung disease that has no cure (for now) but he now tells me he now been diagnosed with Addisson's disease. He is resolved to the fact he may just have a few yrs left unless some treatment comes soon. He has made plans to go see his bro in the states next year. What on earth is wrong in the world?? Deborah, have a good relaxing time with your mob, how did that blob turn out? Are you home yet David? Had my hip / pelvis X/Rayed today, what next?? More stuff put in the bus, G finished a sprinkler system for the new mulch area, all potted plants will be put together for AJ to water if needed, Birds all organized ie their fan set up in case they need it. Think that is about all apart the house cleaning before we go. I am having an AJ treatment on Saturday morning then heading off in the afternoon. Little Suzuki is all packed with some of mum & dads stuff, giving it to my niece as I know she will appreciate it. Off to bed now, Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Noggins x :D

Dot, we are currently in a rest area just south of Pt Macquarie. Will be a lot closer by the time you read this.
Deborah, you are right about the eejits. It's dual lanes all the way and eejits in little cars still want to try and take the bull bar off when they cut back in after overtaking.
Cheers
