Dot, make sure you do the National Road Transport Museum - about 6k south of town at the original Stuart railway station. Fantastic.

I believe if you wish to help a little bit (customer relations, cleaning, restorations etc) You get to camp free there?

Not quite free. It was $10 per day when we stayed there last, plus 10 hours per week per person (although it was expected that you work a 40 hour week) when numbers of volunteers are low

Dot, you can go to sites like flightradar and track the flights before the land.

There are some interesting flights like the fleet of balloons at 60,000 feet over Africa and Southern Europe
