Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, I don't think you could use my tactics with mongrel kids. I just use my strict teacher voice and let the monsters know that they are causing problems and may be asked to leave the shop asap. They don't know me from a can of figs and usually they just leave quietly. They don't know what to do when someone actually fronts them. have fun with the haircuts xxxx

We have had our daughter, sil and granddaughter staying, so have been a bit busy. Last night when I tried the internet connection, it just refused to connect. After a couple of hours, I gave up and went to bed. Weirdly, tonight, it turned on first o and no dramas. Must have been weird weather somewhere last night. It's the first time that this has happened, so will be hoping it's the last as well.

Nothing to share, we had a fly past of RAAF jets early this morning, but we were on the wrong side of the house to catch them. They really are so fast.

Big day, up early, Brian was not impressed. Showered and on the road by 8.30, dropped FOI into hosp, delivered 3 model planes to Birdwood, G dropped me at the GP's and he continued on to the block to check for weeds. GP had just got back from her trip to Japan and wants to go back she loved it so much. She has even got her husband planting Cherry trees. told her about G and she was concerned and said he needed some follow up. (he isn't even her patient but will be again after next week.) I was out in 15 mins and hobbled to the op shop while I waited for Gman to find me. Spent another $7 cot a woolen jumper for Gman, a beautiful woolen poncho, a brand new crew neck jumper and a nice puffer jacket, not bad hey? Books were free. Then back to Mt Barker for the usual 6weekly dyke and spike hair cuts. The owner of the salon has now retired and sold up, I had been going to her for the past 30years. wow time has gone by. Then back home, did some washing, air con on and here I sit about to have strawberries and ice-cream. Goodnight, everyone x :D Goodnight, J-d x :D

Dot, you fitted a lot into your day. You are putting me to shame. xxxx

We had a freezing cold day and did very little. I managed to find odd things around the house from the kids visit, so returned a lot of weird things to their homes. Just doing a general tidy and sort out a few boxes of crap was enough for today.

Have started on promoting a new event for next weekend at Maitland. Yet another new place to try and decide if it's worth the doing. I rang Maitland showgrounds to check caravan availability and the answer was weird. The lovely gent told me to ring back around Wednesday to check that they won't be closed due to another bigger booking. If they don't have a spot for us, we are stuffed. Will worry about that next week.

Keep asking questions Dot, it's all we can do sometimes. Good luck with moggy doc too xxxx

Another quiet lair day. The sun was shining, so I took a punt and washed one of the big doonas. It's almost dry. I can't keep putting this job off, so sunshine equals washing (if nothing else needs the machine that is).

I cleared off a couple of shelves in the linen press. Now have a high pile of sheets all labeled and sorted, ready to go to vinnies. There is more needed to be done, but that will do for a while.

The shed was calling. The bowl in the kiln looked a bit off, so it has has more glass added and put through another high firing tonight to flatten it ready to be remade into a bowl again. I did some research on firing the glass that had been a smashed door and found a firing schedule for it. No two styles of glass will fuse on the same schedules, so research was needed. I have washed some of it, ready to fire and it's on a tray on my bench to dry out while the kiln fires up and gets the shed a bit warmer.

Made a pizza for dinner and that's the day for you. Not a lot really happens here.

nighty night xxx

Just about ready to depart tomorrow lunch time, Can't wait to start the sit by the camp fire watching the boys do their cooking chores. Is there a limit on the amount of times one can win? I reckon that Terry guy has some sort of ear plugs that he gets instructions through, and he pretends they are hearing aids...Will investigate this 8-) I bought a pr of gumboots for the weekend. We had some rain over night which was very welcome. Brian has started back on his anti viral meds as he has started to sneeze again so hit it when it starts. We both had out cancer skin checks today and all clear for us both. Might be out of range for a couple of nights so Take care everyone and goodnight x :D

Safe travels Dot. Hope the fire eating contest is good fun xxxx

I think it was Bernie who said "nothing is built to last these days" Spot on mate. I tried to close one of the doors on my Parker buffet and the whole closing magnet mechanism fell off in my hands. We think the buffet originated in the sixties, so that means the woodworking glue only lasted 60 years. I bet Old Mr Parker would have a thing to say about that. Fancy, the glue not lasting as long as the furniture!

We had our mate the local builder call today, to help with my shed door reno. All I really want is a screen door to keep the feral critters out at night when the kiln is firing. He showed me how the previous "builder" has installed the sliding glass door backwards and that's why the screen door doesn't work. He will come visit next week and have a go at reversing the door before we invest in a new door totally. Time will tell if that's the right answer or not.

Stay safe you lot who are travelling to Haggerty,

night night xxx
