"tanks" here---
It is good morning to all, and a great day ahead with the temp at 16.3c, the sun is shining and not a cloud in the sky.
I BOUGHT THE MG-3 EXCITE yesterday, sight unseen as the dealer is in Mackay (360km from here) and I was offered a good trade-in on the Mazda Tribute, and immediate delivery of the MG from the dealer.
The Mazda is 20 years old and has 230,000km on the clock and really folks, I don't need a 4 wheel drive to go to the chemist and the IGA. I hardly drive past the letterbox let alone getting off the bitumen onto a dirt track.
The salesman is going to deliver the MG to me in Dysart sometime next week to save me having to get myself to Mackay to take delivery. The deal was done at 4:25pm Friday and the registration (pension concession) will be completed early next week when the office is open.
I was impressed with the 7 year unlimited mileage warranty, the 1 year initial free roadside assist, plus the capped price service, and all of the specifications.
I am prepared to overlook the "made in chink land" part of the equation.
Keith

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Congratulation on your new car Tanks!!
One question? Is there room for Major? Front or back seat?
Really I bet he'll love it!! Be easier for him to 'jump up' too I think?
Gotta love these 7 yr warranty items but there's always a catch.
To get the warranty all services must be done by the dealers and must be on time. (or before)
Ends up costing an arm and a leg I reckon.
I'm thinking of having a brand new Honda outboard put on the houseboat that has the 7 year 'domestic' use warranty on it & see the same 'catch'.
Years ago my brother bought a new Kenworth & negotiated $25,000 off the price if he deleted any/all warranty.
He was a mechanic in his early years before National Service.
Well we need pictures when you get it delivered and, what colour is it? Racing Green? Bright Red?

"tanks" here--
Bruce: The MG is a white one (sign of purity) the other colours and metallic paint jobs were an extra $500.
The service is a capped price which varies depending on the level of service. Service is 12 monthly. The GPS is updated at each service.

Morning Robert and everyone.
Its that day of the week again...have to wait till the "boss" gets up before I start the bacon and eggs
I've come to the concussion that every thing I own has suddenly got heavier,
Things I used to just throw around ...Dont...there for they must have got heavier

Got up to nuffin yesterday, bloody typing finger is still sore grrrr.
