Dot, thanks for the Robert update, I was wondering how he is going. Gut problem, are you taking motillium? It has made quite a difference to my aeosaphagitis (I know that's spelled wrong, but bugga it, life's too short for big words). I reckon you will land in enzed and suddenly you wont be able to stop talking kiwi for weeks. xxxx
We had a slightly different night last night. We were both woken at 3am by the house shaking and a huge bang. A storm cell was directly above our house and it stayed there for half an hour, but didn't leave the general area for a couple of hours. Can't see any real damages, not even to the next door liquid amber, that I thought would be gone for sure. I slept in until 11am today. The rest of the day was spent coralling all of our prescription medications and putting them into appropriate plastic bags. I reckon all the drugs that we carry, will fill up half of one of our carry on bags.
Qantas is still sending me updates on what we can carry and who to talk to. Not quite, but they seem to think all passengers are idiots who need constant reminder, like: don't be late for your plane..... der. Wonder what exciting story they will share with us tomorrow.

Dpy could take 2 years after acceptance before anything happens. Did for me and good luck if you think your cleaner will do the job you want/desire. They don't move or pick up anything, even rugs etc. If the broom or vacuum don't get it then bad luck. Mine comes for 2 hours and luckily we have a lot in common so it ends in a 1 - 1.5 hour chat, which is OK for me but don't go into thinking they will match you standards. Even I go around after lots of time and my standards would be a lot under yours.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Gee thanks Brian, might just spill water all over the floor and use towels to mop it all up, it is so frustrating and even embarrassing to see all the dirt around. Had another shock at the hairdressers today usually I have my shower and wash my hair so it is still wet for the cutting, this time I was late getting going so no shower and they could wash my hair, yeah right that cost an extra $5 now $50 so sneakily found out where one of the older gals that used to work there has now gone so I will be giving her a call. Deborah my bowel is so slow/sluggish I could walk to Melb before my sphincter knocked on my bum door. Got the other stuff the gut man recommended so lets see how things go. AJ has suggested Gman go to see out Chiro as she feels her treatments are taking too long. G got emergency appointment tomorrow otherwise it really looks like we may have to cancel out trip
He can't sit , stand or walk for very long at all even laying on the bed is uncomfortable. Might ask the GP for referral to a neurologist and nerve construction tests for when we get back., if the ultrasound coming up shows nothing. Things have been up and down as well as up in the air so I am going to concentrate on trying to believe we will be going, There is a lot to be done eg Making Brians sitters bed
Shower time then bed is for me I am buggered. Goodnight everyone x

Dot keep up the positive thoughts mate. Hope G gets the necessary soon and you will be free to escape. Hope your gutman has the answers for you mate xxxx
My chiro visit today was good and I did get her to check out the photo of the planned office chair. She has approved it, so hoping to go out there tomorrow and buy said chair. She had the same thunder storms the night before last, but wasn't as lucky. She rehomes older rescue dogs and one of them is not good in any thunder. He whines, howls and demands cuddles, so no sleep was had in their house for most of the night. She still looks like she needs a good night's sleep.
Still trying to tie up some loose ends before we fly away, so after inspecting the silly locky things on the cases, we have agreed to use cable ties. As we are staying in a furnished villa, there should be a sharp knife in the kitchen and it's not difficult to carry some spare ties if we need to open our cases.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Hi Dot. Nothing much happening up here. The last couple of days have been a bit cooler but we are due for a few hot ones coming up. Has been very smokey up here from the Vic. bush fires over the past few days and tonight it is quite thick. Still trying to find a house sitter for a trip in May but most of them seem to be heading north for the winter. Got my two new teeth ( implants ) and they seem to be very good and wouldn't know from the original teeth. ( the bank balance does though ) Goodnight All. Cheers

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Nothing to say apart from a mongrel of a day. We have had to defer our NZ trip due to G's leg. Both AJ and Tasha Chiro said under no circumstances should he fly. They and the GP had to send emails to the RAA travel people for the airline to say we couldn't make out flight. So now I am running around via ph and this machine to everyone involved in the saga. Brians carer was due here next Monday, my mate in NZ had arranged the transport from airport, we even changed Drs appointments due in Feb to late March but not going to change them now. So disheartening after actually years trying to get away. G has ultrasound on Monday but still no chance of things changing.
Might even get to catch up with you Deborah.
Going to be a hot weekend and I am not going to do anything outside Have some bales of hay that I need to move onto the trailer and cover up as the birds think I bought them nesting materials and the lawn mowing can wait. Some news on RnB, he had a fall Wed night and so he is now NBM as he may have to go back to theatre if the bleeding doesn't stop. Norman now home so one good and one bad thing. Off to bed now, Have to have a look at your new fangs John ? a pic ??
Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight NC George x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, what a bundle of joy you are tonight. It's more important that you get G walking safely and in no more pain before you get yourselves over there. I know how many things you have to now sort out and how difficult the whole mess is. I hope the bonus is that we can arrange something next week, once the worst of the heat settles away. Take care of yourself, xxxx
Robert not bob, your news is so scary. You have such rotten luck. I hope they fix you up asap and you can get back to your life. I can totally understand how uncomfortable you are and how the added stress can be so debilitating. Stay hopeful mate xxx
Today I was chasing my tail all day. I had to get the qantas app onto our phones. To install it, you have to get a code number off your email address and have 4 minutes to retrieve it. I had to get the machine turned on and then the wifi up and running and even once I had achieved that, the codes didn't arrive within their timeframe. I had to do this several times with each of our phones, so the computer and phones were running hot for a couple of hours. It was a bit fiddly on my new iphone, but his 6 month old samsung has sent me up the wall. I finally found how to install new apps and then the extra rigmarole, remember the apple id passwords, find his qantas membership number. He has lost his card (of course he has), so he is in luck that I keep those numbers in a secret password book. I finally got that sorted and installed. It's a separate app to get the entertainment and wifi, once on the plane. So all the same garbage again, but by then I had it all handy. Once I was in that area of his phone, I could find the hidden settings section. Yes, settings is hidden away. Anyway I managed to make the screen time longer, before it closes, the ring louder (we might hear it easier now), the font sizes larger and in bold print, but I am still peed off that I can't make the ring last longer before it dies. We rarely get to his phone while it's ringing, so it drives us both nuts.
The rest of the day was talking to caravan park to get them to send the codes to my phone and not my email, if we are late getting to the place, finding a few phone chargers and their cords and a few other techy things. All sorted by now, just the late things from this computer that will need to go into the bag after I close down tomorrow night. The rest will be finished tomorrow and bad luck if I have missed anything.
The hardest thing tomorrow will be, how many pairs of crocs is enough? and which ones have to come for sure?

"tanks" here---. I had to phone Telstra and ask them to increase the ringing tone time to a maximum. Perhaps it is possible with other carriers. I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
