Spent a few hrs yesterday trying to figure out why the pump wasn't working, yet again .... The wind blowing up the river has raised the water level big time, including flooding over the solar panels. Turns out the solar was still trying to pump out electricery while under water and this caused all the positive cables to conduct through the water and eat all the cable inside away at every joint. Spent the afternoon trying to balance on a plastic pallet stacked on top of other bits of wood to keep the top face above the water line, all the time the water level was still rising. Back, legs and neck were bad yesterday, but nothing like today

still don't know if the repair worked or not, but I put all the cables into a electrical connector box, glued up all the cable entry holes, and attached the box to a polystyrene float thing that had washed up on the bank .... hopefully this will keep the cable joins out of the water.
Today, trying to wire up the trailer harness in the Taxi Prius, the body is really letting me know that age really does take its toll ...... If yesterdays repair didn't actually fix the problem, it'll be next week at least before I get to try again
