Bruce, if your GP hasn't been in touch, I'm thinking you are doing OK.
I probably should have said that unless you have an auto immune issue, or are a regular blood donor, you'll never know your platelet count.

I'm guessing it would be the UV count, often get high to extreme UV warning here in Mannum, you can feel the sun burning your skin as soon as you step out of the shade on the extreme days ..... ya gotta wonder about the wake boarders out on the river on those days .....dream4red wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 11:37 pm Dot, hope the machine isn't worrying you still. xxxx
Today was another drive around and a re-visit the gardens. We had a lovely lunch in the cafe there and then went to the conservatory where there were three different videos showing. I am disappointed to say, the conservatory was closed, due to extreme weather. Yes it was hot, but not that hot.
Wont be able to return tomorrow as we are airport bound, fairly early.
Been lovely to visit Adelaide and greet to meet Dot and George
Bags are almost packed and ready to go.
nighty night xxx
Platelets aren't those little plates that come out at a fancy dinner it seems, they are what aids blood clotting so when you rip a hole in yourself, it stops you draining out ..... if you discover blood around an injury you didn't even realise you done, but it is already sealing up the hole and forming a scab, the platelets must be doing their jobBruceS wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 5:19 pm Lovely that the visitors are coming Ray!
Where do I find these platelets?
I've had the full suite of blood tests & have gone thru them but can't find the results for them. Is there another name for it in the results?
I found plenty of H & a few L but no emergency ph call so I'm guessing I'm OK.
Yes, that treatment is hard on the body, so all the other parts to repair the damage the treatment does to the areas it wasn't supposed to damage, need to be in good condition, the last thing you want is for the treatment to kill yousupersparky wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 11:08 pm Yep, that's pretty much nailed it T1.
But maybe Ray needs a good platelet count for an entirely different reason, due to the fact he is undergoing some treatment than none of us would ever wish to have.
