Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Morning everyone.
Safe trip Bob.
I excelled myself yesterday, I wheelbarrowed 18 barrow loads of chip wood/mulch from the front of the property to the back...and spread it... Then moved the Winny and mowed all before lunch...should be enough brownie points there to have a day or two off
Keep safe all you fomites .
Bernie.

Good morning everyone. T1, we hope you can get over the shingles soon. Can't be good. I had a minor case of it a few years ago, but I was lucky.
I hope all goes well with your procedure Bob.
Bernie, tell Carol that I said you can have the day off.
We are packing up and moving off to a little spot up past Toowoomba today.
Get well soon all those on the sick list.
Happy hump day everybody. Travel safe.
Cheers

Morning all best to everyone who is not feeling the best. Certainly a lot of us but it happens.

Had the front garden sorted out until daughter suggested to mum and now back to ground zero or a bit deeper.

Auto elec coming Monday to check 12v just hoping it is something simple.

Have a great week one must stay positive a Lizzy would say. Cheer Robert

I do not envy you lot that have had shingles, I saw what it did to my mum, nasty indeed. Hard to keep track on every ones ailments these days. Tomorrow will be a bit better for us all. x
Been up dated again Dottie, it's now "Complex Regional Area Pain" one of the few acronyms that actually relate to the way the person feels ..... ;)

BernieQ2 wrote: Tue Nov 02, 2021 1:29 pm Sorry to hear Terry...I know what you are going through. It's been 12 months since I got shingles, right side of my head and into the eye... bugga...I still have it... double bugga... One doctor said I may have it for the rest of my life because of my age... Told him to F off as like you not considering dying at least in this century 😁, now have Cornea problem from the shingles.😠😠😠 And cataract developing in my left eye.
Bernie.
Sorry Bernie, I missed this post yesterday. I'm hoping the 24 hrs in hospital where they pumped 1 ltr of that anti viral stuff into me might have saved it getting into my eye, time will tell I guess. It does seem to be travelling down the right side of my nose today, a lot of real estate to cover there so hopefully that will keep it distracted enough for the medicines to do their job ...... a long way to back track a well once the reach the tip and realise just how far away from the rest of my body they are

When I was being admitted, the doctor went through the whole resuscitation thing, that it's not like on TV, you will certainly have broken ribs, 66% chance of brain damage even if they manage to revive you which is not a given, your heart stopped for a reason ....... the options were:
A) Make the patient comfortable and let nature take it's course (pull the blankets over the head to muffle the sound of the patient having a change of mind)

B) Attempt CRP and resuscitation, knowing the risks already explained ......

He then said I was still young with the potential of a long life remaining .... that cheered me up enough to pick option B .... after the pep talk I was going for option A before he added that bit
So I must have polished up well before presentation, so maybe that clean underwear thing has some merit after all ;)

Sorry about the shingles Terry, I had the shingles jab about five years ago. I thought all doctors advised it.

You have to be "really old" ( over 70 ) :D to get the Gov. supplied jab. I checked and it would cost me about $500 at the moment but it would be worth it going on what people go through with it. Cheers John

John,
I resemble that remark! 😁
Yes, mine was free. A friend about to celebrate her 70th birthday in early October told me that her birthday was perfectly timed, as the govt-subsidised jab would no longer be free for over-70s after 31 October.
I got mine on 28th. 😜
Booked for a Covid booster shot next week… immunocompromised… I qualify for top priority.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Be a good boy Bob,things will be just fine, hopefully you will look better that Caitlin Jenna   Ray I don't have to pay for my shingles jab, must be virusland trying to raise revenue.
Today was a mixture of drizzle wind and sun, sounds like us here except it's dribble, fart and radiation burn. Took the car in for her 10k service $285. They gave us a loan car woop woop what a goer, Kia Cerato Sport, far too many bells and whistles for us. Off to the orthopod MRI for ankles and a Ultrasound guided needle of steroids into my thumb that has got worse, if no joy he will do surgery  Only good news was they found Cleo Smith.
