Must have been a different race I was watching?
Simon Yates won the race on the one I've been watching.
The race......... not the stage.

Woopa sorry Deborah I got the names of the boys and their winnings last night (Sat) Mixed up. Simon Yates has won the race overall. (He used to ride for Jayco last year but now (UAE) and Chris Harper Jayco won the stage last night. (Sat) Both Ozzie lads. Thanks for pointing out my boo boo Bruce.

Tonight we are at the CMCA park in Pt Pirie, last night we camped at the RV rest area in Moonta.
Winter has hit today for sure. Dinner tonight at the Football club of which the CMCA park is at the back of, 10% off for CMCA members staying here.
Port Broughton was very quiet when we arrived.

Is Cheryll (think that's how she spells it) still caretaking at the CMCA park? Had an over night outside the Football club after travelling down there to do some work on her battery set up. The dining room/kitchen was closed, so we cooked up dinner in the Winnie

It is Liza who is the custodian for the next 20 days, she drives a Prado and tows a dual axle Jayco caravan, she has been on the road for 8 years now with no desire to go back to her home, she spends 3 months every 2 years camp hosting for the CMCA, soon heading to Queensland to assist a custodian couple who have been bullied.
She is pretty strict and I got a serve when I did not stop at the sign at the gates, but she is alright and quite willing to advise on the services available locally.
we are now in the RV stopover in Port Augusta due to the increasing wind and possible rain.

Was wondering where you were with this rotten weather there is not much incentive to go walk about. How is Jenny coping with the weather? Take care on those roads. Keep the pics coming.

I think it all passed through here in the last 12 hrs. The house was set low beneath the hill behind, so we didn't get the wind through the house, just watched the trees across the road turn near horizontal on the top half in the big gusts and the waves on the river develop white tops .... can't wait to get out of here so we can find sheltered spots to park up for the night .... not that I have a great track record for that

We are at a free camp at the Edith falls turn-off, spent a day and night at Mataranka, day and a night at Katherine gorge a now here at Edith river. 30 degrees here. You have book sites online now and it is usually where there is no phone service, $30 unpowered at Edith falls, $60 unpowered at Katherine gorge ( ripoff, getting back at the white oppressor maybe) the state of the ammenities shows no $$$ in maintenance.
Next 3 nights we will be in the CMCA camp at Batchelor, about $8 per night.

The post above was an old post that would not upload due to poor internet coverage.
A big jump to where we are now, currently at Camooweal and camped with a friend who called me up when travelling the Barkly Hwy, we are in the caravan park and not the Billabong due the friend does not free camp.
That’s it for now.
