Thanks for that suggestion Jon, didn't consider the inland way but can see now we should have.
It would be a big day on the second day going that way but we will mull it over tonight. Should have asked the question earlier, we often stay at Kingstorpe, if we had been there tonight would be a good day tomorrow.
Looks pretty flat too, once up the big hill. But we would probably do that via Esk and Hampton.

We're heading to Lilyvale after LE , just for self contained, but a great space and close to Emerald.

Busman if you are coming from Rocky do not go all the way over to Emerald. Turn nth from Dingo as we did this morning. We are now about 10k sth of the Peak Downs highway at a huge gravel pit then only about 40 to Nebo. LE just up the road from there but we are heading into Glenden in the am for dump & water & a few groceries.. Jon & Kay what are you travelling in so we know who to look for when we get there?Last night we stayed in a huge area behind the Caltex servo at Dingo. Had a great hot shower there as well.

Not sure we want to go if it's that packed...plus we don't have our caravan now, so will bring our camper trailer! Plus we have the dogs!

We want to spend some time around the gemfields after LE, Caboolture Gem Club is doing some fossicking there, then up around Clermont.
After that a Big Rigs Clan meeting at Collinsville, then home to cut and polish the findings (maybe if find something)

Busman no need to go all the way to Emerald from Rocky. Turn nth from Dingo & straight up. We spent a night at the Dingo Caltex Servo, came up here to a huge roadside stop with Telstra tower opposite & heading to LE to-day. Going into Glenden first for water & dump as only 29k further than Elphinstone.
Hell must still be half asleep-forgot that I mentioned this last night. Tried to delete but not possible. Ah well.
